The staff were very friendly and housekeeping was very good. The drink selection in the lobby was nice and the room was comfortable. I found the room felt like it was humid or high humidity probably due to me using the in room laundry. I visited my friend’s room and they did laundry as well but it did not feel humid. It was my last day so I did not bother asking the front desk to check out my room’s humidity level. Maybe my dryer was not venting properly or maybe my air purifier was not working properly. The room was still comfortable and the hotel location was good as it was in a quiet area and within walking distance to good places to eat and to the market. I would recommend this hotel to others.

My wife, our 1-year-8-month-old, and I stayed at Tokyu Stay Kyoto from October 4th to 6th. I had heard great things about this hotel, and they absolutely lived up to the reputation. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, even giving us a great ramen recommendation. We also enjoyed the sake offered in the lobby, we’re not usually sake drinkers, so it was fun to try something new and find one we really liked. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Kyoto. Thank you!

This was the 3rd hotel we stayed at during our 3 week trip to Japan and it did not disappoint. Having an in unit washer/dryer made it very simple to do our laundry. The area around the hotel has great places to eat and it’s walkable to Nishiki Market. The staff are really what make this hotel amazing! They were courteous from the start, but we misplaced our camera in the cab one night. The following morning they went above and beyond trying to help us find the camera, checking in with us when we returned to the hotel at the end of the day. And when we realized which cab company we used, they called the company for us and helped us call a cab to pick up the camera. We really appreciate their efforts and cannot recommend this hotel enough

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed in during our Japan trip. The rooms are so clean and spacious. It is at walking distance from popular sites. Staff was so helpful and kind. Totally recommend!

Great and modern looking hotel with lots of amenities! Room was small as expected with a W/D for convenience. Daily limited housekeeping with new towels/slippers and robes. The lobby staff was helpful in getting out lugggage forwarded to our next destination. Great complimentary coffee machine with choices of coffee throughout the day and nightly 2 selections of Sake to sample to end the night! The hotel was in a quiet and walkable neighborhood. We loved exploring the alleyways and walking to different locations in Kyoto! I would recommend this hotel! Will look into Tokyu Stay in other locations the next time we visit Japan! One of our favorite hotels!

Unfortunately, this hotel is well overdue for a major cleaning. I was moved across three different rooms. The first room smelled strongly of a sour mildew and I saw black mold growing the crevice of the curtains. The second room had a mild smell of the mildew but only ONE outlet worked in the room and it was at the entryway. The third room was somewhat acceptable after being switched. The smell of mildew seems to be all throughout the rooms which I believe is caused from the air conditioning system. At a quick glance, I noticed black mold spurs growing and MAJOR dust clinging (I mean like dust strings like birthday streamers) to the upper walls and ceilings. Because I was solo traveling, I decided to just sit through with it and I do deeply regret staying because I found myself sneezing quite a bit which I fully believe is from the black mold exposure. I understand for the price wise you can not expect some luxurious experience but I believe at bare minimum you should be able to expect a clean room. The staff did apologize profusely and did offer complimentary breakfast as an apology. Staff was understanding and quick to make the change without hesitation (wondering how often they have to deal with this). Unfortunately because of my experience, I would not recommend this location until deep cleaning and maintenance is done to correct the facilities and rooms.

Room and bathroom was very clean and very big for Japan standards. Bed was comfortable. I appreciated all the outlets and storage space. Lobby has free coffee, tea, sake, ice, water. Location convenient next to 7/11 and subway station. Yakisoba restaurant nearby was very good. I would 100% stay here again and recommend this hotel to everyone.
