Friendly staff but very dirty! No fridge in my room and the cabinet that had a fridge in it was gross. Furniture was very worn and the carpet was dirty. Room had a musty smell. I will not be returning as Kalamazoo has other hotels that are much better.
I booked 2 rooms, we were looking for a place near the train station and reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I don't remember a pool, but I wasn't looking for one, we needed to be up early for breakfast and get to the train station. Breakfast was typical Comfort Inn food, however, I notified the front desk they were out of regular coffee, it was 20 minutes later before it was ready.
While not new, this property is lovely and very well maintained. Our room was immaculate. The furniture was all in very good condition and the floor was well cleaned. They also have a lovely indoor pool area. While we didn't use it, we did take a look. The bedding was very comfortable and the linens were a good quality. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would recommend this Quality Inn and will certainly stay here again when in the area.
We were in search of a spot to stay and most hotels in the area were booked due to the Tulip Festival in Holland, MI. We got a decent rate. I would have to agree with other reviewers, though - the place definitely needs upgrading. The room was dark, even with all the lights on. Linens could've been newer; pillows were not at all comfortable. Breakfast was passable. Thankfully, we didn't have to pay a lot.
It's a moderate hotel in everything. It was clean and quiet and comfortable. The pillows are small. Breakfast area was clean, food was plentiful, limited choices but enough. Desk Clerk was pleasant but I wish he could have spoken English clearly. .
Good stay here. Quiet, clean rooms. Wi-fi worked well, and affordable price. Also, a mis-communication about a room that a family member had already paid for, resulted in me getting the room I paid for refunded right away, no questions. Only downside was the breakfast...eggs were cold and the muffins a bit stale, But, the rest of the b'fast offerings were fine.
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend while in town. It wasn't a bad stay (we were even upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite!), but the place definitely needs some updates. The bed, linens, and furniture were about average, but was definitely worn. The carpet also needed to be replaced, our suitcase wheels were caught several times on spots on the carpet. The complimentary breakfast wasn't bad either, with a large selection of breakfast items. The staff we interacted with were very helpful too. Overall, this was a nice place to crash for the weekend, but I would probably stay somewhere else unless I knew some updates were made in-room.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The facilities are not particularly fancy nor modern, but our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. A good value for the location, especially if you are a Choice Rewards member.
They have some trouble with their room doors not being able to open, but otherwise a very comfortable room and stay. It was very quiet which was also important to me, and I would stay here again. Thank you.
We stayed at this Quality Inn after attending an evening event in Kalamazoo. It is about .5 mile south of I-94. There are several hotels right at the exit but we chose this one because of the distance hoping there would not be highway noise. We were right!! The hotel common areas, inside and out, were very clean. The room was also clean and comfortable. They serve a continental breakfast similar to many other hotels these days. We did not use but did see the indoor pool which looked nice and there was an outdoor patio adjacent to the pool. There didn't seem to be much within walking distance other than a Speedway gas station and a McDonald's right next door. If in the area and needed tho book a room, we would return.
