The Inn At Mayo Clinic

We had a 2 bedroom suite. It was run down and in need of a rehab. The worst part was it wasn’t clean. The tub had several hairs in it, dirt, and mold. The sheets had hair in them too. The doors had food or some substance on them. If you don’t care if your room is clean, this is the place for you. The good about this hotel? Well the staff was nice and it’s literally right next to the hospital. There isn’t any food around either, but there are a few places that deliver.

The hotel is physically connected to the Mayo Clinic. You do not have to even go outside to get to the hotel. I had a procedure and was allowed to go back to my own room with my family following it. It was wonderfully convenient. The hotel is very well appointed and kept clean daily. The staff was very friendly and the price was reasonable. This is a great hotel and well worth the stay and the price

The inn is connected to the hospital and other buildings you need to access via large long corridors. You never have to leave the building or use your car. Which for the patient that has to return for a follow-up in two days while you're healing is a big plus. The negatives are the the whole building is a little dated, clean for what it is, but not what IO expected for $200+ a night. The TV's are antique with poor remote op. The wi-fi was disturbingly hard to get and keep working. The breakfast was adequate but got redundant after 2 days. The room people are the best and try to accommodate you every need, the front desk people try to help. If I didn't have to go there daily for Doctors, exams, blood work etc, I think I'd try something else. Maybe I'd find this is a good deal, but for now I think long term patients should get a better deal.

I travel to Jacksonville for a 5k obstacles race and I stay in this hotel wow the hotel is very clean the service noises so I sleep like a baby. The lady at the breakfast come out the kitchen to great each guest in the buffet breakfast and offer help, she is very sweet.Deffiny I comeback again.

My family and I lived at The Inn at Mayo Clinic for seven months in 2009 and returning this time brought back many fond memories. The staff made me feel like I was home again! I will definitely stay here again.

I wanted to thank both weekend front desk staff for making my stay memorable. I’ve come up two weekends in a row and Esther remembered me! That means a lot to me. I came in and she said you’re back. I can honestly say that I had a pleasant stay and have no complaints. I enjoyed breakfast.

Stayed in the 2BR/2BTH suite..all the conveniences of home.. kitchen, living room, 3 flatscreen TV's, wi if etc..quiet and great place if you have someone in the Clinic..Also free breakfast offers hot or cold foods,

This would qualify as a specialty hotel, a Residence Inn not under the flagship name. We chose this because of the room configuration available and free breakfast vs the nearby Courtyard where we would have had to have 2 rooms and miss some quality family time. The room was OK, the only negative was that the sofa and chair in the living room area of the 2 BR suite needed to be replaced due to wear and tear. The room had more electrical sockets in the bedroom than usual, probably because many guests are there awaiting or recovering from medical procedures and may have medical devices to plug in. That was a nice touch.

We stayed here for almost 4 weeks. The tv would cut off after 50 minutes so you could never see a whole show. My husband has problems getting up and down and the chair in the room was horrible. I had to pull him up each time he got up and we ask for a better chair and they said no. He fell in the shower and all they would do was call 911 so they would help him up. No one from the hotel filled out an accident report or ask later if he was ok. He had to have a brain scan because of the fall. They need hand rails on the outside of the shower and near the toilet. I had to help him get up from the toilet each time he used it. I ask for a handicap room when we got there and was told no but they could give us a walk-in shower. The shuttle is only from the hotel to the hotel next door or to the Mayo Clinic. The staff at the desk were not very helpful only working to receive a paycheck.

Average hotel with large rooms/kitchenettes. Some of the rooms have been updated but even those are looking tired. Example: NOISY exhaust fans in bathrooms, NOISY air conditioning. The fitness center is a joke. Two treadmills and one bike. That is it....VERY disappointing. On the plus side the breakfast is well stocked with hot and cold food/fruit/yogurt. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Strong WIFI.
