This is a very nice, very well run hotel. The staff is exceedingly nice, the room was impeccably clean and comfortable, very well appointed. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a very good selection. This hotel is also very pet friendly, with a nice quiet area to walk the dogs, available potty bags, etc. I definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again when I cone to Houston next year.
We chose this hotel because it has a free shuttle service to MD Andersen Cancer center. The shuttle runs every hour on the hour from the hotel, but you call it when you need a drive back, and they usually pick you up within 10-15 minutes. And they can drop you off anywhere within 6 miles from the hotel. This time they had a big problem with the shuttle bus driver. He was rude, and he was giving knowingly false information. I called for a shuttle from MD Andersen at 4:30 and he told me that he will pick me up at 5pm, though he needs to leave the hotel at 5pm. He picked us up at 5:20 (50 minutes wait in 100F heat) and refused to drop us off at the restaurant 5 minutes drive for the hotel that he is passing by on his way from MD Andersen to the hotel anyways. He told us to wait for his next run from the hotel at 6pm to drop us off at the restaurant. And the manager did not remedy the situation.
Stayed 3 nights while in Houston. Room was excellent. Furniture all was in good repair, everything worked, bathroom was clean and with a excellent supply of nice towels.Breakfast was typical of motels. Staff was great, friendly and very helpful. I took advantage of shuttle during the week and on a free day visited a museum. Only complaint no hot tub. A number of restaurant with a couple block easy walk.
The king 2 room suite room 217 was better than an Embassy Suites room so I was shocked. Breakfast is typical nothing better or worse. The hallways are roasting for some reason but the room AC is great. Nice kitchen. Comfy sofa. Parking lot is challenging for people traveling with a large vehicle or trailer.
We stayed here because we were attending Rodeo at NRG. It was very convenient location for that. Walkable and shuttle service(not too late though) Hotel was nice, but very disappointed in the no housekeeping on weekends. We stayed 3 nights. Friday through Monday and so therefore housekeeping never stepped foot in our room. Going to rodeo meant we were dirty and took multiple showers daily. By end of our stay we had a huge stack of dirty towels and our tub looked disgusting. Not the way my house looks for sure. Rooms facing Main St. are noisy! Breakfast was just okay. This will def deter me from staying in a Staybridge again. Staff was friendly but cannot handle no housekeeping:(
Great hotel and good rooms. Loved the fire pit outside the dining area. Enjoyed good coffee 24/7.Rooms were clean with plenty of room for us to move around. Breakfast was no so great. They had make your own waffles which had an aftertaste and fruit cut up that was just ok. The frozen and thawed omelets were horrible. Plan to have a coffee and eat breakfast elsewhere.
We had to leave our Houston house during sewer reconstruction and so my daughter, our little dog and I checked into this place because it was conveniently located, not too expensive and welcomed pets. The place is right next to NRG Stadium and in the Texas Medical Center area. It was nice, clean and quiet. We had a full kitchen, with full-size refrigerator, two-burner range and stainless sink. Not only that, but they had free breakfast and free weekday socials with beer, wine and snacks. The staff was friendly, competent and helpful. My only criticism is that there was no obvious recycling program at this hotel. Overall, this was a great five-day stay. We'll recommend it for visitors to Houston.
We booked this hotel because to was close to NRG. We were attending a concert there. The location was perfect. Service: Upon arrival we were greeted promply by the front desk attendant. She was very friendly. Check-in was supet fast. Room: The room was nice it was a bit smaller than I had hoped for. I have booked with Staybridge before and never had an issue before. The bed was a queen(which looked like a full size). I thought it was supposed to be a king-sized bed. My husband is a big guy and this was not going to work well for him. I was very disappointed. He decided to just take the sofa bed which was terribly uncomfortable. The bath room had a shower. The sink was on the outside. There was a sofa in the room. It was a decent size. Amenities: There were only 2 pots in the kitchen. I had to be very creative in preparing our meal with only 2 pots. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a cooking range with two burners. It also has a microwave and a coffee maker. There is a full size refrigerator in the kitchen. Breakfast is served by the hotel from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. There is a pool but we did not use it. Overall I would recommend this hotel for your stay. Tips: Make sure you get a room with a king bed or doubles if there will be 2 or more people or you will be disappointed.
I loved this hotel. In houston for appointment and this hotel was just right. Room was spacious with a couch to relax on and a kitchen with full ice box and ice maker. Since I was staying more than one night the frig and ice were nice to have colas and water in. Everything was clean, just a few very minor repairs needing in the room that I considered cosmetic only. They didnt bother me or interrupt my stay. The shuttle service to my appointments was EXCELLENT!!! Since i dont live in Houston or know my way around it was a relief and the driver was soooo friendly. When i called for a pick up after my appointment they were there in 15 minutes. I was very impressed with everything at this hotel and will stay here again on my next visit.
