Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake

3.5 out of 5.0

I have stayed there before, but it was along time ago. The hotel is older and shows it's age. Popcorn ceiling in room, Bathroom was very small. The signal on the TV was breaking up constantly. Wasn't a terrible experience, but for the 199 price it wasn't as first class as I expected. The view of the lake was nice. Probably wouldn't stay there agin.

We booked a King Deluxe room through Orbitz. When we got to the hotel to check in we were given a double room. I questioned the room and told the clerk we booked a king room. She told me I needed to take it up with Orbitz because that is what they booked for us. I checked our reservation and saw it was a king room. I went back to the front desk and spoke to the other clerk. She told me the hotel was out of king rooms and all they had left were doubles and that is why we were given a double. I confirmed with her that the fault was on Hilton and not on Orbitz and she said yes. My biggest concern is the lie the first clerk told me. I understand there was a hurricane a lot of people were displaced and the hotel was completely booked. If she had of been honest with me, I would have accepted it and been fine. The fact that she pushed the blame on to Orbitz is not OK with me and that is why this hotel gets such a low score from me.

We stay at this hotel each year for the Outlaw Challenge. Perfect location and easy access to boat launch right down road. Will definitely be staying again.

We ended up on a floor with about 100 teenage girls who giggled and chatted until the early hours so we did not sleep too well. Maybe put the senior ladies on a different floor?

The staff at the restaurant was very kind. The floor under the refrigerator was wet.

This Hilton is right across the street from NASA and the Space Center. It was conveniently located for our travel needs as we needed to be close to family in Friendswood, this was a 10 minute drive to their house. I think this hotel was built about the same time as NASA but has recently had a refurbishment. The hotel staff was very friendly, though it did take two try's to fill our request for extra towels and breakfast menu. The bathrooms and full size beds are small for a family of 4 with a 14 year old & 11 year old.

Nice lobby. However room condition is in bad shape. The bottom right portion of the mirror in my room was broken.

We reserved a room with a view of the lake, and the view was nice. Our biggest complaint was noise. The walls were paper thin, and we could here our neighbors and anyone in the hallway. Loud music from downstairs could be heard and felt. Also, no exhaust fans in the bathrooms, so the entire room filled with steam after showering. The view was pleasant, but everything else made it not worth the price.

The lady who checked me in was very rude. There is a $75 charge to your card that you don't know about until you check in. It's not clarified what the charge is for and when questioned about it she could not give explicit details to what all the charge consisted of. Other than that. There was a $9 charge for wifi usage. There is no complimentary breakfast. The coffee and toiletries apparently are not complimentary and I was told that I would be charged for using them. I am not staying there again. The walls are thin and you can hear what's going on in the adjoining room as well as the elevator being used.

This hotel is close to nasa and we stayed two nights very happy. This service is very good and the food in the 1st floor is good. It is very far away from downtown which make much inconvenience.

Hotel had a wonderful dining room that overlooks the water all the staff were wonderful

We had a wonderful time we stayed Nestor to NASA and about 5 minutes from kemah boardwalk. Wonderful place for children NASA was great too

We had a wonderful time. Your stag was amazing. The food was good and the fact we were right next to NASA and 5 min to Kemah was perfect

I took my fiancee to the Johnson Space Center for her birthday and we wanted to stay close by. I found a deal onlineand was very happy with everything. My only complaint is that the room menu and the actual menu in the restaurant were completely different. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room had a great view of the bay, and while it rained most of the weekend, we still had a beautiful view and enjoyed ourselves very much. There are a lot of convenient, nearby places to eat and shop and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice hotel that doesn't totally break the budget!

Walking in with fast and pleasant staff... Room was spotless n clean... Very comftable beds n good quality blankets n pillows..

people were very accommodating and courteous. Room was excellent, modern and comfortable.

Very clean. Def recommend to stay and I will stay again to!

Hotel was nice but a little warm. Beds were comfortable. Staff helpful.

I stayed at this Hilton for my son's wedding. I selected this hotel because that is where most of the other guests were staying and it was close to the reception area. I don't often stay in Hilton Hotels but I must admit that I was most pleased with the room and service I received while I was there. I was there for a week leading up to the wedding. This location was easy to get to, was surrounded by lots of things to do and had a beautiful view of clear lake. The people who worked in the bar were most friendly as were the people in the restaurant. I would most definitely consider staying here again for my next trip to Houston.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hilton while sailing in Kemah. Great location, very comfortable, clean room at a reasonable price. Will definitely stay here again.

Ethan, Thanks for the Review. The views are awesome. I am sorry to hear that you experience a noise issue at my hotel. We do have roof top exhaust fans for the bathroom. I will have them checked to ensure they are all working properly. I appreciate you letting me know. Regards, Jeffrey
