I booked this as part of an Expedia Flight / Hotel combo, where Expedia said I was getting this Hotel at a -30% discount if booked with flights at $140 USD, when in fact if you book seperately on its own its $85 USD. Yes i'm an idiot but I trusted that Expedia were not rip off merchants. The room was dirty, marks all over the walls, just had a really low quality feel to the place, so I decided to check out immediately. I should have read the reviews.
Stay elsewhere. The bathroom actually has a glass wall, so it's not private. You get half a roll of toilet paper, too - the rest... go buy it yourself. A terrible choice of hotel. It is in a good location, but you'll find many other options around the area.
The location is so so, but the all place is not worth the money (almost HK 1000). The staff in the front desk is rude, the room was small, very basic and no air conditioned turne on, so stuffy and the floor was completly wet! You a hear the noise from outside all the time during the night... Thanks God it was onli 1 night! Avoid at all costs.
Seriously people, take your time to check out reviews of a hotel before you book it, I was in a rush so didn't, and I ended up here! I booked the mingle at eden for a week, I stayed 3 nights. It would have been less but this was the fastest I could arrange something else. I booked it because it was central and, by Hong Kong standards, reasonably priced. I didnt expect it to be large and wasn't expecting it to be the Ritz, but I did at least expect it to be clean! Wrong! Lets start with the room description: It should be described as a small, dirty, mouldy hole. Im not sure if I actually had a room or if it was someone else's closet. If thats a king size bed, I must have grown to 9ft 8 on the plane. Room service? I suspect you can get "services" to your room, but its not meals. Wooden Flooring? erm, nope. Between the mould on the walls and the ceiling, the peeling mouldy wallpaper at the headboard of the bed and the mould in the shower, around the fittings, and the room in general, I think I may have discovered several new life forms. I have to admit I am impressed at how long they have made their towels last, they were older than me! The aircon generally just makes a noise and blows air of indeterminable temperature. Cleaning (and I use that term only because thats what they describe it as), basically involves folding the handkerchief sized quilt under the one accessible side of the mattress. The hotel is missing a trick here. what they fail to advertise is those little extra touches: Animals welcome, like fleas (I got bitten several times in the room). The privacy of the room (the blind doesn't actually open so you cant get any natural light). The constant lingering dampness of everything. The smell that penetrates everything you take there. Customer service, the staff either completely ignore you or couldn't care less. Only book this hotel if, you absolutely HAVE to be in Hong Kong and there is not a single room available anywhere else within a 2 our flight time.
Stayed at the hotel as it was so centrally located, was not to impressed wi the rooms, quite small, AC rather loud, bathroom was more of a wet room rather than a traditional bathroom, rather loud noise outside all evening, the window would not close fully and to top it all it turned out that you could rent the hotel rooms by the hour!! Won't b staying there again!
Stayed in room 403. See attached photos. Dirty with peeling wall paper and dust everywhere. Only redeeming feature other than the central location, is the linen was clean. Making the experience more confusing was the front desk had the cleaner accompany us to the room to show us where to switch on the hot water (yes that's correct, you need to turn on the hot water supply yourself). Was surprised given the appalling state of the room that they had cleaners !!!
They claim it's a boutique hotel... Well check again. No service, check in staff busy on their phone, could not care less about customers. Very small rooms, run down, Low light, humid and strong mildew smell. Great location but plenty of other places to chose from in the Neighbourhood so stay away from this one.
Average place to stay, don't expect much. Enough for a short trip and budget stay. Not for family with kids. About 8-10 mins walk to the nearest MTR. But all restaurants, convenient stores, Hard Rock Cafe, pubs and lounges are just nearby or within 5-10 mins walking distance.
The platform bedframe isn't really necessary in a very small room. Amenities/bottle of water provided. Small and basic. To be fair, location is excellent. Close to everything (restos, grocers, market, cafe). It's just a place to sleep and that's it.
The only good thing to say about this hotel is the location. It's in Sheung Wan in close walking distance to SoHo, LKF, Central etc. And it's probably the cheapest option in the area. However, everything else about it is average or rather tolerable. We spent a few days there in December, and the rooms were very cold with no heating. The staff did say that by turning up the air con to 30 degrees it would start heating, but we tested this in three different rooms and it did not work. They did have a very hot shower though, so we would get in the shower just to warm up a little. Also, one day we returned home by 4.30 pm and they hadn't cleaned our rooms yet. At that point we just wanted to relax for a few hours before heading back out, so asked them to fix our rooms and change our towels when we went out for dinner after 7 pm. They told us they couldn't do that since at that time the cleaning staff had left already... They had had from am to 4.30 pm to clean our three rooms, but failed to do so, and now they we're being rude about it. The staff in the reception is generally not very service minded or helpful. Only stay here if you want a great location and a place to sleep, and don't care about service etc.
