“I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful throughout my stay — everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of my room was extremely disappointing. It looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite some time. The floor was filthy, almost as if someone had been playing in a sandbox, and even after housekeeping came to mop, it still felt gritty underfoot. The refrigerator was old and pulling apart, and one of the beds looked like the comforter hadn’t been washed, so my mom and I ended up sharing one bed. The entire room felt very outdated, and the bathroom was extremely small. This trip was already stressful because I was in town for a funeral and on a tight schedule, so dealing with these issues made things even harder. I’ve never had a problem with my Hilton stays before, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I do have photos available if needed.”

Breakfast was buffet only even though they advertise a menu and room service. Came to breakfast at 10:10 was told that what food was out was it they were not making more as they closed at 11. The breakfast meats were cold, the eggs what they scraped off the sides, and the “pancakes” were 3 dried out pieces of French toast. They also didn’t want to make more coffee. Definitely sub par and not worth the $18.

This hotel was a blessing to me during a tough time while visiting Connecticut. I initially chose to stay at the Motel 6 down the road. I am pretty sure that people live in that motel, and they do not respect other people in that space. It was quite a disturbing experience. Fortunately, I decided the next day to reserve a room at the Doubletree Hilton. This hotel was 1,000 times better. I appreciate all the staff that work there for making this a beautiful experience for me despite the initial struggle with the other Motel. Thank you Hilton for all you do!
