An old hotel in need of an upgrade. There is a speedway next door so if you're there on a weekend you will hear the loud races until 10-11pm.

My 10 year old granddaughters and I left Minnesota, USA at 8 a.m. on August 4th. Our flight to Toronto was just great! However, our flight from Toronto to Halifax kept having mechanical problems. We sat on the plane, we changed planes and sat some more! It was about 10:00 p.m. when we finally left Toronto! We were exhausted! I had to cancel the Air BNB I had reserved due to the long drive to get to it. The man seated in front of me on the plane turned around and said, "I don't mean to be eavesdropping, but I heard you say you wanted to find a hotel close to the airport when we get in. I would recommend HFX Airport Hotel. It's close, has a shuttle and is reasonably priced." I was so thankful for that man! (He might have been an angel!) I took his advice, called and made the reservation and got to the hotel at 1 a.m.! The gentleman at the desk was very kind to us. I was very thankful for the shuttle and used it to return to the airport in the a.m. to pick up a rental car. I can't say enough good about that hotel!

Despite location being near airport, it was quiet. We enjoyed all the amenities, such as the pool, games room, shuttle, and it was so convenient to have a restaurant on site! The food there was great! Would recommend and definitely stay here again. It was a perfect landing spot to wait for our entire party to arrive and rest up before starting our trip!

Clean rooms but property is old and inconvenient to get to your room with luggage due to split level floors with stairs after you get off the elevator. So you can’t use a luggage cart. Do not stay here if you are handicapped. Also, lower level rooms smelled musty. Would be bad for allergy sufferers. Construction site beside the hotel could be noisy during daytime but did not bother us at night.
