Pros: Breakfast provided Spacious room. The size of small apartment Cons: The room had not been dusted in a while The fan in the bathroom is extremely loud The bathroom had not been cleaned. There was toilet stains and hair in the shower The room had not been vacuumed I’m going to assume the maid changes sheets and towels and that’s it. There was a slight wet dog smell but I was aware this hotel is pet friendly ahead of time. When I asked for a room not pet friendly I was told there are not any at this hotel. This hotel has potential if the cleaning crew would actually clean. I had stayed at this hotel before. I miss the fireplaces in the room. They’re still there but no longer work.

I stayed here two nights the week after Thanksgiving. I was visiting relatives but stayed in a hotel because I had a respiratory infection and wanted to keep my germs to myself as much as possible (plus just needed to sleep). I called and asked if they could check me in early and there was no problem - I was able to check in at 2:00 and they gave me a first floor room which I requested. This was my first stay at a Residence Inn because I really don't need that much room, but I thought my relatives might come by the hotel at some point so wanted the extra room. I really enjoyed the kitchen (wish I had one that nice in my apartment). I had some beverages with me, plus was able to make iced tea with the tea in the room, plus the freezer kept my ice frozen. Enjoyed the free breakfast each morning (didn't get to take advantage of the evening reception/snacks as I had dinner with family). The room was clean - the bedding was white and absolutely spotless. Carpet was clean too and in good shape (looked new), and the kitchen was also spotless. The bathroom vanity appeared new - nice new sink and great lighted mirror. But the shower liner needed replacing - it was slimy when it got wet (I advised the front desk of this on check out). Also, very dusty behind the nightstand (you could see it standing by the bed and it was clearly being ignored by housekeeping). Also, the rooms really need a bit of an update. The bottom part of the vanity really needed painting and the nightstands could use replacing. The rest of the furniture was fine. Weird to me was that there was no bedside clock, no hairdryer, and no luggage rack. I requested a hair dryer thought and they had it to my in just a few minutes. The service was good - friendly and they did their best to accommodate requests. No complaints there at all. It was also a very convenient location for me. Plenty of restaurants nearby, pretty view of the lake from my room. They also had a nice indoor pool, plus tennis courts outside. Would be great for families and they are pet friendly, which I always like to see even if I don't have my pet with me. So, overall a good stay even if I didn't get to use a lot of the amenities. The bed was very comfortable which was so important since I was sick and mainly slept and watched TV (great TV size and good channel selection). With just a little bit of work on some outdated room issues, this could be a much better hotel.

Friendly helpful front desk staff and housekeepers. Housekeepers very considerate of my working nights and they would freshen up room first if notified of need. Most rooms have range top and microwave with large refrigerator. All have full set of dishes for four people and dishwasher! Beds comfortable. Quiet location near maggots roads but away enough to be quiet. Manager reception enenings Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with beer, wine and some heavy snacks like chili at Monday and Tuesday with light dessert stuff Wednesday

Currently staying five nights here to visit family nearby. Housekeeping didn't bother to show up yesterday and when I called the front desk to report this all they told me is that they would report it to management. Haven't heard a word from management. This hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment...cabinet door in kitchen under sink is falling apart. Refrigerator hasn't been cleaned. Bathroom floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Lots of dust on furniture. Very poor experience for a Residence Inn. Will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

House Keeping! House Keeping! Out of 27 days they hardly cleaned. I had to change my sheets after 9 days, i was told by the front desk. It was supposed to be every other day. Good luck to that. The room across hall was left undone for 24 hours left like that.. On my floor the lazy house keeper would put the do not clean sign.. On 10 rooms. Supposedly the front desk lady said she told the management but im guessing he didnt care. Every time i pass by he was in his office playing on his phone or something. For this hotel to have Marriot on there name should be embarrassed. Pretty sad when i had to take my own trash downstairs. I had some change on the table that someone helped them selves to it. Who knows maybe they needed it more than me. There are plenty of other hotels go there closer to the restaurant on the other side of Eagle crest street. The breakfast was ok coffee set up was great. Thats the only reason i am not rating terrible. I didnt want to keep complaining due to backlash.

Reservation made 6 months in advance, used mobile checkin day in advance ( will never do this again), room guaranteed for 3pm checkin, at 4:30 told might be ready in half hour. Called Marriott Platinum Elite number to see if could stay at Marriott Courtyard---learned when Marriott sends you an email to check in early, if you do so, Rewards number folks cannot change reservation. Once in room internet connection not work, tried to call front desk but got message mailbox full, tried to get outside line but couldn't, so went down to desk. Told internet sign indirections wrong for this property.....!! Other than major ant issues in kitchen and on sofa, we survived. Absolutely worse Marriott ever. Tonight at an awesome Marriott Fairfield Inn in Jackson (Pearl, Ms). Tried to contact Marriott Customer Relations....first hold was 12 minutes after taking to phone answerer, so hung up and tried later...after 11 minute hold after talking to second agent, decided they didn't care about us.

I have family who is coming in for a visit soon so I have been scoping out as a place for all of them to stay and for them to be comfortable. This particular hotel/motel was a breath of fresh air as it not only had the required space to offer, it also has charm. The phrase "home away from home" truly fits this place. The room has a full kitchen, and in our case two separate bedrooms. They also offer a one bedroom suite. There is a pool, a hot tub, and a patio along with the lobby that has plenty of seating and a snack area. There is plenty of area to walk around in and enjoy the ambiance. This place also offers my relatives something other places will not do, the opportunity to bring their fur-baby with them instead of having to board them for a long period of time. The full kitchen is exactly what will help save money on food. The people who were present on the day we came to look at the room were very nice and willing to try and help accommodate our future needs. Im looking forward to my family coming so wee can spend some time together and catch up.

I've stayed at other Residence Inn properties and have had good experiences for the most part. This experience was just bad...starting with RAP music being played in the lobby and elevator to a grainy reception on several of the stations on the TV. When I got into my room, I found it to be really hot...the thermostat showed 84 degrees and the room's A/C unit was turned off. After taking a shower and drying off, I turned on the TV and found many of the stations quite grainy as if there was a poor antenna reception. The room had cooled down pretty quickly by the way. I complained about the TV as I left for a speaking engagement. The desk clerk said she would check into it. Upon my return, the desk clerk said nothing to me and I found no change in the quality of my TV reception upon arrival in my room. I was fighting a nasty cold and opted to let it go. I also decided to sleep in the next morning since I was feeling so bad. I posted the "Do Not Disturb" and cashed out. The next morning, there was a knock on my door at about 8:45, with someone saying "Housekeeping!", who then said "sorry". About 30 minutes later, another knock from housekeeping. I yelled that I was trying to sleep. I got up and checked to make sure the Do Not Disturb notice was still posted...and it was. I went back to bed and soon a lawn service was cutting grass outside of my window. At almost the same time, a carpet cleaning service was cleaning the carpet in the hallway. I gave up in getting extra sleep and opted to get some breakfast. I commented to the carpet cleaning guy that this should be done midday during a weekday...he responded by saying 'you'd think so...' The breakfast bar did have many options and the scrambled eggs and bacon were good, although the area and many of the tables were really dirty. I stopped by the check-in desk to check-out; I whined at the clerk about my bad experiences...the response was a muttered 'oh sorry about that", and he turned and walked away. I was astounded...and left. I have stayed at several Marriott properties and have had good experiences for the most part. This was by far one of the most challenging experiences I've had with this chain.

The hotel is very clean and well furnished. The rooms were tidy, the long bed was very comfortable. Check in and check out were easy and straight forward. The room did have refrigerator but could have been better if there was a microwave oven.

We had multiple problems at this hotel - very much below usual Mariott and Residence Inn standards. Had housekeeping only 2 out of 4 days we stayed and then that was only towel exchange and beds made. Toiletries were never restocked - I had to ask for shampoo and conditioner because they weren't even there from the start. Room not vacuumed before or during stay - I picked-up a sucker stick, an open safety pin, a child's toy and a clothing tag all in plain sight. Small litter was there entire stay. I had to dust clocks and nightstands and wipe down inside of refrigerator. Had to ask three times to get chair in room that was missing. On the plus side, nice walking path and exercise room. Breakfast offerings good.
