We always like the Aloft’s quirky style. One thing we liked about this one in particular was the centrally located elevator that takes you directly from the parking garage to the lobby/rooms

Covid precautions are definitely not enforced. Big groups of people were just crowded in the hallway, which led me to request a new room. They accommodated the move but weren’t friendly about it. Pool has no reservation, so there was like 15 kids not including their parents

Hotel did not enforce covid guidelines. The movie channel wouldn’t load. Pool room was freezing.

The hotel was very nice. There was a large bar area and pool table. Housekeeping did not clean our room after the first night, so we arrived back late in the evening with no clean towels, and an unmade bed and overflowing trash cans. The front desk did send someone with towels right away, but that was all. The bathroom sink did not have any cold water.

Really cool hotel right in the heart of the city. Great views all around, we were on the 11th floor and really enjoyed the sights. The only kind of tricky thing is the parking structure - it’s a little strange to get in and out of - and we paid $24 for two nights, yet the gates were open at both ends the entire stay, so I kind of wondered why I paid at all? But, that’s a small negative in an overall very positive experience!

We asked for more towels for our room and they were never delivered. Only having 2 towels for 4 people isn’t acceptable. The parking garage was always open for the public to drive into & the door from the garage to the hotel was always unlocked. Anyone off the city street could come from the garage, directly into the hotel elevator and take it to any floor of the hotel. Traveling alone with my daughter, this left me uncomfortable. Especially when I left the hotel early in the morning, to find someone driving very slowly through the garage and eventually pulling aside so that I could pass. When our room was cleaned, small details were skipped. The toilet seat was left up, there wasn’t any toilet paper to replace the empty roll, the ice bucket was left full of water, I wasn’t given a new coffee cup & my sheets were not replaced. I won’t be staying here again.

They were resurfacing the parking garage but provided parking for us across the street. The room was just ok, very plain, only 2 towels and there was there of us. Had the Ultra Savy room for the pull out bed and they had to find someone on a Wed. night to come and make it for us. Simple/no frills

Got in at 11 pm after a 14 hour day. The garage is a mess, the toliet in the room did not work and when I pulled the bedspread back, I found black hairs and crusty crumbs. I was moved to another room at about 1 am by the front desk personnel. He was very nice and apologetic and promised that my room would be comped. The new room had used coffee in the maker, the smoke detector light flashed continually and there was a sewer smell that came from the sink. In addition, I could hear the movie that was playing in the room next door (at 1 am!) I have been home for 9 days and have not heard from Aloft and have not been issued a refund. The hotel is fairly new and experiencing growing pains. I am most upset that they did not follow through on the promised refund. I will be making a call this week to follow up on that. On a smaller note, pack your hair conditioner because they only supply 2 in 1 shampoo.

We had a very nice experience. The rooms are very confortable.

A fresh new place in South Bend. This is not a luxurious hotel, but it's very comfortable and fresh. The room had a great view and the hotel is in a great location with parking ramp connected to hotel elevator. The Pool is not large but good for a soak and activities for fun. A nice bar in the lobby with small plates to enjoy.
