No hotel staff to be found. People constantly loitering in parking lot and very disturbing

When I first went in room smelled a little musty or smoked in I went in and told clerk she gave me some air refresher that was in a spray bottle and let me keep it the whole time. It worked very well and we didn't have to change rooms which we were offered. The clerks were very helpful and for a inexpensive motel it was nice. I would have like a better variety of breakfast but made do.

This hotel was nicely located and for the price it was excellent. Our boy really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were really spacey. Will stay there again

The worst part of the stay was the air conditioner only blew air so that the room was very damp and musty. The night shift clerk was not helpful and would barely give the time of day. The parking lots were full of garbage including soiled diapers. Taking a walk outside is impossible.

Decent stay. Facilities were fine. Desk and room service were good. Location was average but close to downtown.

There were bed bugs!

All the previous reviews gave me very low expectations. Overall, I was pleased that the previous reviews were not all accurate. The hotel did have a musty smell, but it was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the pool. The shower only ran hot which would not be good for sensitive children. There was a fridge, microwave, iron, and blow dryer in the room. No coffee pot. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This hotel was good for the price.

we arrived on sat at 3:30 pm and we had booked 2 rooms and neither room was clean, dirty bed, dirty towels, so they moved us to a new room where the toilet did not flush. when i reported this to the hotel maintanance, they informed me that the toilet had been broke for about 2 weeks. the rooms were nasty. I was very disappointed in the hotel and all i recieved for all the problems was 1/2 price our next stay. well guess what, i will not stay there again.

Our experience was awful. The room was smoking room that had been sprayed to smell like a non smoking room. The sheet had cigarette burns in them. The floor looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The ceiling had events that water damage and happen and then covered up with plastered. The bathroom had mold around the tub and shower curtain with cogarette burns on the sink. Also, the curtain on window were dirty. The bathroom door would close. Some of lights did not work. The sheet on the bed had cigarette burns and hole in them. The door to the room looks like it broken into before. So, I am totally surprise that you put your name in association with this Hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Evansville area or for a matter of fact any chain they have in the US. Also before our stay my credit card was charged one month before our stay. Also, I request a non-smoking ground level room, due to the fact my husband is handicap and cannot climb stairs. Our room was on the second level and my husband trip a couple of times climbing the stairs to our room.If someone would like to talk with me in person, I can be reached at [@]

I was in town for a business event. This hotel was a good location for it, not too far, but not too close. When I got there, check-in went smoothly. However, when I walked into my room, the sheets hadn't been changed, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the dirty towels were still hanging in the shower. I was instantly given a new room, which I was thankful for. The next day I went to the pool, which was enjoyable. I go back to the room, and there is no water. I call the front desk, and they say that all they can offer are a few bottles of water so I can shower. The water wasn't available until at least 6:30 that night, and needless to say, I was late for the event. There was no compensation offered or even an apology for the inconvenience. Finally, on the morning of my checkout, I looked up at the ceiling above the television and saw I had a little visitor. Last I checked, roaches were not a good thing to have in a hotel. An absolute hole.

Hotel visit was great, excellent customer service, loved the hot breakfast, clean rooms and comfy beds. Overall stay was very good, will stay again in the future.

high speed internet was super slow....i got fast service on my at home dial up. had ants in my room breakfast was really bad....hard doughnuts no butter or syrup for waffles i will not stay here again nor will i recommend this hotel to anyone. some staff was friendly.

I attended the Kenny Kent Jazz Wine & Arts Festival while i was in Evansville. I had a great time and look foward to visiting again.

worst ever

I was searching for a hotel close to Holiday World, I think the search engine could have found a town much closer than Evansville - it was a long drive. The room itself - even though we requested a smoking room - smelt awful. We actually went to the store and bought Lysol to spray in the room but it did not help. Also when we first arrived the toilet was clogged. We called the front desk and they sent someone up who spent a couple of minutes with a plunger and left. We were all tired and went straight to bed. The next morning the toilet was the same - it would not flush properly. We called the front desk again and were told that maintenance would not be in for 20 minutes and that she could not leave the front desk to bring us a plunger. We went down to to pick it up but it did not help much. We had to plunge the toilet every time it was flushed. As far a location - we did not feel that we were in a very good part of town either. Overall - we had a place to sleep that was relatively cheap.

We attended a convention in the area and the rate given on Orbitz was affordable for us. The Good - It was a place to stay. They provided an iron board that I needed. That is really about all that I can say positive about this place. There was not a fresh smell upon walking into the hotel room and the floor did not look vacuumed very well. This on top of the 3 HUGE dogs that were checked in next door told me that this was not going to be a great stay. When I went to the restroom, I saw little gnats, I was so afraid that it was fleas. For some reason everytime we went into the restroom it smelled of cigarette smoke although we requested a non-smoking room and neither my husband nor I smoke. Can anyone say Lysol? Then when we went to bed there was a stale/old smell in my pillows. I couldn't stand it, hence my recommendation for the Febreze. There was a pill bug in the tub this morning, so that suggests that there was moisture issues that may be a problem for some. Also, fortunately, this was only a problem 1 night, but we had the loudest person ever staying above us the last night. They clodded back and forth ALL NIGHT! I woke up 3 a.m. and still heard them walking back and forth. What's up with that??!! The thing that most disgusted me was when I was getting ready to put my girls down for bed, I looked at the soles of their feet. THEY WERE COMPLETELY BLACK! The floor was so filthy that a few hours of play inside the hotel room had made their feet that dirty. Disgusting! They were also crawling on the floor I guess and even the knees of their pajamas were dirty. I recommended Slippers for this situation. My real recommendation is to stay anywhere but this place. It is very unclean and unprofessional. The staff is always hanging around outside. They have no business standing around - they need to be cleaning this dump. Plus the other tenants were a rowdy bunch! It disgusts me that a hotel is pet-friendly and they don't even have the decency to steam clean their floors ever so often. This is truly a dump and I will not stay here ever again. I will not discount all Econolodges based on this one. But never here again! Oh yeah, the WI-FI that they advertised didn't even work from the hotel room. The signal was too weak. Stay away!

There were men standing along the railing outside our room. I felt very uncomfortable. There were cigarette holes in our comforter and blanks. The room did not have sufficient light. It was clean but the wallpaper in the bathroom had water stains and was wrinkled and loose from the wall. Not very appealing. The toilet was running.

when I first arrived I knew I was not going to be happy. Guys where hanging out with no shirts on. People were visiting these guys with loud music. All night long I would hear doors slamming and cars arriving with loud music. I complained every night and I even said I would call the police. The front desk said that they had already called the police.

The only good experience was when I could check out. I would have never stayed there but my card was charged long before I got there and I didn't think they would have put the money back on the card. The electrical in the room was a fire hazzard with the wires connected by wire nuts and laying on the floor. large chunks of plaster were missing from the walls and I had to go the the office everytime I needed towels, staff never would leave them in the room. I was able to use my key card once without going to the office to have them swiped again.

The motel was not very good (obvious from the preceding survey answers). THE most disappointing aspect was Orbitz. I expect to run across motels like this one. Especially for the price we got and the location; we were on a business trip and this was the closest motel to the business we were visiting. However, the reason I use Orbitz is to ameliorate situations like this. Two things: 1) I would have thought Orbitz would not offer a motel like this or at least rate it better. Three stars was extremely generous. 2) And, related to that, be more honest with the reviews and descriptions (even the picture on the web site is very misleading). When I called Orbitz Customer Service the very first thing I was asked was, "Have you talked to the hotel management to solve the problem?" I replied, "no, that's why I use Orbitz." The agent was very polite and contrite, but, I felt, had no ability to do anything. She then put me on hold for several minutes while she tried to reach the motel manager. We finally decided to try later, BUT I'd have to call back and start the process all over! I walked downstairs, talked to the front desk manager and had our room changed. A little better situation. The bigger question is why should I use Orbitz anymore? I probably won't.
