Rodeway Inn Elko2.0 out of 5.0

This was an "on-the-way" last-minute stop one evening, so we were just looking for a comfy place to lay our head. We found that. We had accommodations on the 2nd floor, and there's no elevator, so a bit cumbersome up the concrete stairway, but our room was nice with updated bathroom, well-stocked. The owner at the front desk was very helpful in finding us a place to eat, and told us to let him know if we needed anything else. Breakfast is grab and go in the morning, as there are no tables, but it was sufficient, and we got on our way the next day, well-rested.
In way late at night almost early morning. Needed a place to sleep and back on the road early. I chose this hotel from the Choice hotel app based on price. Not expecting much just needed to sleep. Woke the manager up to check in. He was cheerful and helpful noticing the American Legion logo on my shirt he ask about or convention I had come from in Reno. My room was upgraded to a better room for free. Still not expecting much we opened the door. Very nice large room to stretch out in clean well kept. Desk and a table, microwave and refrigerator with freezer. A unique pew to set on in the dressing area. LIGHTS lot's of lights. A ceiling fan with 4 lights in the middle of the room. Loved it. Wish I could have had this room in Reno at more than twice the price. If you need a room stay here.
Although this motel is older, it was one of the best motels I've stayed at (especially given the price of the room). The large room was very clean and well maintained and actually had enough flat surfaces for our things (which seems rare, even in far more expensive motels). In addition to a table & a desk, there was a long bench in the closet/bathroom area and a bench at the end of each bed. The air conditioning worked - was not noisy - and there was also a ceiling fan. The room had adequate lighting & outlets, refrigerator, microwave, and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. A full hot breakfast is not offered, but there was enough variety for us. The breakfast area is small, so there are trays to carry food back to the room. This particular room (203) did not have a bathtub, only a shower, which was okay for us. The one negative aspect was a strong smell of cleaning agents when we first entered the room, but we didn't notice it later. Also, the motel has no elevator. Did not use WiFi so cannot comment. Would absolutely stay again.
We stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Elko on July 21st. We were on a long road trip and this was just one of our stays....however, it will stand out as exemplary Customer Service and a wonderful room with lots of extra amenities. The Manager was so nice, answered several questions, referred us to a wonderful local restaurant and a local park. Extra amenities were above and beyond: ceiling fan, several extra outlets for regular plug ins and USB, clothes line in bathroom, extra soaps/shampoos/towels, extra blankets and pillows, extra luggage rack. Even the exterior was beautiful and clean, with gorgeous flowers all over the property. The room and bathroom were the cleanest we encountered on our trip. He was even able to accommodate us with three beds in one room, my girls really appreciated not having to share a bed for a night. If you are travelling through Elko, this is a must stay.
Price is usually great, this motel delivers on cost, cleanliness, service, beauty! Newly remodeled, bathroom was spa-like! Coffee service stocked very generously. Front desk guy was friendly, helpful. Breakfast was more than expected for 'continental breakfast'.
We were so pleased we chose this hotel. Checking in was easy, our room was very clean and welcoming with new furniture, a comfy bed, plenty of space and a wonderful shower. Everything at the continental breakfast was super fresh. This place is extremely well run and value for money and management should be commended.. Book through Choice hotels for the price!
Nice location. Older styled hotel, but no problems to note. Check in was simple & person on duty was very friendly. My family loved the shower in our room. Great place to stop & chill with the family for the evening.
We booked this place online, but we all know sometimes online pictures can be deceiving. For this place, however, the pictures were perfect. The outside of the hotel hardens back to 60s style tan brick facade with iron railings. The rooms have been remodeled and updated with new walk-in showers with a rain shower, new carpet, new furniture. My parents had their dog and their flooring was new laminate. Rooms were clean and the queen beds my sister and I had in our room were comfortable. I heard no road noise even though they are on a main street in the town. They only offer a continental breakfast, but that is the only drawback. The owner is friendly and sweet and this place is a winner for the value.
It's definitely a budget motel, not a lot of money has been spent on furnishing and upkeep, but the manager is super friendly and the room is clean (though the mildew smell is a bit overpowering when you first walk in). The air conditioning works, there street noise is minimal, and the bed is comfortable enough for an overnight stay. The biggest selling point -- apart from the price -- is that the hotel is located within a five-minute walk of all sorts of quaint restaurants and has easy access to the 80. Don't count on the complementary "breakfast" -- it's really poor. Still, I'd stay here again.
Top-notch motel at a very reasonable price. Rooms were recently redone and very clean and modern. Breakfast was available in the lobby and included homemade banana bread. Restaurants within walking distance. Great value!
