The hotel was lovely. My only complaint was the restaurant food. It was very pricey and the menu items and food choices were below my expectations.

We had a very brief stay prior to our early morning departure back to US. All I remember was a nice shower and comfy bed, which was all I cared about.

Hotel is wonderful. Great staff, great restaurant, great bar. Hotel is close to airport and the bus stop to downtown is right out front. Only downside was the rooms are small and our room had water leaking from the closet ceiling. I would recommend this hotel.

Booked a room for a short stay before departing from EDI. Hotel was very outdated. It felt like I was stepping into the 1970's. Staff was curtious and friendly. If you're there for a short time it will do.

Room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. While it is away from city center there is a bus that stops directly in front of the hotel that comes by every 10-15 minute to take you down town. Be sure to find out where to catch the return bus!! Edinburgh is a beautiful city full of great things to see and do. The hotel is a 20 minute bus ride from down town. Close to the highway and airport. Parking is free - be sure to register your car when you check in!

Hotel was close to everything. The staff was incredibly helpful when giving directions to tourist attractions. The bus stop was nearby and easy to use.

When one travels in the US it is easy to predict what you are getting at almost any Marriott hotel. Maybe in Europe it's different. The main reason we made reservations at Marriott Edinburgh was because it offered a room for three. The room was quite spacious indeed. We didn't feel a bit restricted even with the sofa bed opened and three big suitcases laying around. The location of the hotel had some advantages and disadvantages at the same time. It was located closer to the airport, but relatively far from the center of the city. We paid around 13 pounds to get back to the hotel by cab from George Street. There was an Airlink express bus that ran from the airport to the center. It stopped by the hotel, and was a cheaper option to get to downtown. The breakfast buffet was fantastic - very generous and definitely Scottish. The entire hotel was clean and comfortable. But, it will definitely require some updates soon. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travelers who are used to the international chains and need more room while in Edinburgh. However, there are some other choices of excellent hotels closer to the center, allowing not to use taxis and buses every time you need to go somewhere.

Overall buffet was nice and the staff was excellent. Easy location to get to other attractions.

We ended our vacation with a stay at the Marriott since it was close to the airport and we had an early flight back to the U S. Staff was friendly and the room was comfortable.

I had a complementary supper as well as the 'continental breakfast'. the food was excellent, and the staff very helpful. Their gluten-free bread roll was the best of its type I've ever tasted.

Convenient to bus stops, it has an excellent fitness center and the staff was very helpful. This hotel is a quick 7 minute taxi to the airport or you can also take a bus that stops every 10 minutes as the bus stop next to the hotel. The buses start at 4:30 a.m., taxis are available 24 hours a day.

Room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

This Marriot did everything on par with other Marriots, just with a smaller British-stye footprint. We were acommodated for a two-bed room at no cost, not originally part of reservation. It did prove to be rather crowed with all the other amenities en suite, including a pants press. A spectacular breakfast was included which is not to miss. Restaurant is gourmet. On the down side, it is ten minutes away from the airport only accessed by taxi at about $16 or by public bus that supposedly takes a while.

The hotel is conveniently close to the Edinburgh airport. It's a short bus ride away (2.5 pounds - 10 minutes). It is a standard corporate Marriott with the usual amenities. It's clean an the staff is courteous. The food leaves a great deal to be desired and there are few other choices in the immediate neighborhood.

Great for early morning flights? Also great express bus service to Prince Street. Helpful staff with great tips for getting around. Good value.

This hotel made our vacation amazing. We had so much fun. The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and there were no hidden fees. I was very impressed with this hotel and will go back and recommend it to my friends. The hotel was next to a bus stop, airport, gas station, and restaraunts. We also ordered room service and it was actually affordable and the kids chowed down. Thank you marriot for making my vacation a memorable one!

Staff provided useful information about the public transportation, and assisted with printing airline boarding passes.

We picked this hotel because we had a 6:05 am flight. We were able to leave a 3:15 am wake-up call and the desk put in a back-up just incase. We had a rental car and were able to get to the air port in less than 10 minutes. Good thing we went two hours early because the check-in and security lines were significant.

Very Nice Lobby, Rooms were great as well. Check in Staff was great and very helpful in getting bus and Taxi. Restaurant service was terrible. Slow and food as horrible.

This hotel seems pretty typical for a marriott in regards to room size and comfort, which is a good thing. However, this hotel is quite far from the city centre. It is very close to the airport (EDI). There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you right to Waverly Bridge (about a 20-25 minute ride). It runs about every 10 minutes, but the last bus leaves waverly around 12:30AM. So if you are planning on having a late night in the city, you will have to take a cab back (about 14 GBP). I was also really irritated that I had to wait 10-15 for someone to come to the concierge desk so that I could store my bags for the day (I normally wouldn't care, but I was in a bit of a rush). Other than that the service was good. Quick check-in/check-out.
