I arrived after dark following a long drive and waited a bit for the front desk clerk to return, she was assisting another guest, which was understandable. At both check-in and check-out, I was helped by the same young lady, who was competent and pleasant.
Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse during the night. The night-shift clerk called my room accusing me of being noisy. In reality, it was the intoxicated guest next door arguing and physically fighting with their partner. This left me feeling unsafe, and I was shocked that such behavior was tolerated.
Sadly, the overall atmosphere felt more like a low-budget motel than the Best Western brand I’ve trusted in the past. The worst part? I paid for a sleepless, stressful night, on a bed so hard, I’ve laid on concrete that was softer.
