We arrived at the Capistrano Surfside Inn late in the afternoon after driving from Vegas. We were met by a very polite and helpful desk attendant who got us right into our room. My kids (ages 12,13,16) were excited to get on the beach and that is exactly what makes this property so great. The hotel is located directly on a crosswalk to cross the road and then up and over the railroad tracks into the beach area. Granted, you do have to cross a road and set of railroad tracks, but you are on the beach in three minutes! The room, although a little dated, was comfortable, well stocked, and clean. There were bikes and boogie boards available, and the kids did spend some time in hot tub and pool. In the morning hotel staff directed me to their lounge where they had coffee waiting. Overall, considering price paid, I would consider this a great value and would definitely stay there again.
