Hotel was clean and sharp. The hot tub and pool area was clean and well kept. The attendant at the breakfast was very nice and enjoyed talking to. Free breakfast was great and influenced my choice to stay here for sure.
The main building is over 100 years old and under renovation. I was put in an "outside" room which is a separate building. My room had 2 queens and enough additional space to host a dinner party for 20. The room was recently renovated. Clean, with nice fixtures. Legacy fixtures (AC unit and heater) ...
The room was spacious and had a small coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator, A new TV was installed while we were there, but there was no menu on the remote which made it difficult to quickly find a show to watch. An envelope was left on the side table for tips for the housekeeper of the room. ...
Struggled to find a place on our way home that was affordable with good reviews! This is THE place!! Clean! Great room! Great pool! Great breakfast!! Close to the interstate!! Would recommend to friends, and will absolutely stay here again!!
The title says it all. We got a room at a good rate, it is close to the Cherokee casino. We had to get up very early to depart, so we didn't get to try the breakfast, but our overall experience was nice. The front desk staff was also helpful with local restaurant and attraction recommendations.

After checking in on Friday, Saturday when I returned from the volleyball tournament, my key wouldn't work. Had to make 3 trips down stairs in order to finally get into my room - but the person at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. Upon checking out on Sunday, when I got to the desk there was no one there. Waited long enough to get irritated and was in the process of writing a note and leaving without seeing a person (had paid thru Orbitz) when someone finally showed up - FULL OF ATTITUDE and complaining to me (the customer!!) about having to cover the desk and the breakfast.
Beautiful hotel, close to everything! clean, nice staff and excellent location.
Nestled in the cute little town of Maggie Valley. Just a cute place on the river and close to the Cataloochee Skiing place. Only concern for us was we had to leave abruptly with a night left on our reservation due to an emergency and the manager didn't offer to give us a refund for the last day. :(
We booked this hotel because we were going to see a concert at the Auditorium a few miles away. That was a great convenience, first of all! Then we considered the pool for our oldest son who is training for high school swim season. It was cool & morning time but no worries because it is warm & indoors! Also we considered the breakfast they offer with your stay! Waffles (2) flavors that you pour into the iron and make, biscuits, toast, eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurts, fruit & bagels. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable & clean! The pillows (nice nice). The bathroom was also clean, large and has toiletries in it. Possibly we had a remodeled room downstairs? If we are back for another show, we are staying with them again!
