It was in a beautiful setting next to a river. It was peaceful.

We chose this hotel because we had stayed in the past and enjoyed the convenience. w We were in town for our Grandsons 1st Birthday and wanted to bring him to the hotel to swim in the pool. When we arrived we were told that the pool was out of service because the heater wasn't working. If we knew this when we reserved the room we would have made different arrangements.

Let me preface this by saying I am one of those "I don't write reviews" guys. However, I feel obligated to pass along my experience to others.....My wife and I first stayed here in Summer of 2013. Loved this place. We made a pledge to come back again for a date weekend. Fast forward 6 yrs and two kids later. Our first trip back, sadly not for a date weekend but The Polar Express. This place hasn't changed, and that's a good thing! Very nice exterior grounds. Famous deck w/ rocking chairs overlooking the river. Fire pit and heated lamps for enjoying the evenings by the river. Inside, the lobby, at the time, was wonderfully decorated for Christmas complete w/ train circling overhead on 2nd floor. Front desk personnel were cordial and friendly. Rooms were clean and roomy enough for a pack-n-play w/ plenty of walking room. Continental breakfast as always was a nice touch. Waffle AND pancake maker. Here is where the hotel staff took it up a notch. The day we left it was pouring rain. Pouring. About 30 mins after we left, phone rings and its the front desk informing us we left our ipad in the room. I am in no mood to backtrack 30 mins on these roads to get this thing. I was ready to write it off. My last thought was to greedily ask if they'd mail it to us. Josh, was working front desk said "of course". Really?? Sure enough a week later the ipad arrives. I swore I'd write a review once I got it back. So here it is. Still our secret slice of heaven.

The property was just as advertised on the website. Even the breakfast was great...bacon, omelets, waffles, fruit...even the juices were full-flavored...not watered down...great variety.

It was quiet and we enjoyed the atmosphere of being next to the river.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Beautiful location. Huge room. Good water pressure. Hot breakfast of eggs, biscuits and sausage (along with the normal pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc). Tucked away so the only noise you hear is the river behind it. We loved sitting on the balcony watching to see if the occasional rafters and kayakers would make it through the light rapids right in front of the hotel. I CANNOT wait to come back.

Love the river view. It was very quiet and serene. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Really nice hotel. I had a river facing room, and that was very relaxing. I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, and the breakfast buffet was pretty tasty. I would go back.

Hotel is located on the river. Unfortunately we were placed in a room that looked over the parking lot and what appeared to be abandoned railroad track.

It on on the river with a great view. This is my second time staying here and I still like it.

Very pleasant experience. Lovely water view in a nice and quiet area.

Excellent hospitality from friendly staff member Megan. Went above and beyond to ensure comfort for my family.

The river on the backside of the hotel was simply beautiful. We watched a few people go fishing while we ate our picnic dinner on the deck. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The indoor pool was so clean and warm. Very relaxing.

Hotel was clean and sharp. The hot tub and pool area was clean and well kept. The attendant at the breakfast was very nice and enjoyed talking to. Free breakfast was great and influenced my choice to stay here for sure.

This hotel made our polar express experience a memorable one! This was the first time we've been to Dillsboro so I didn't know what to expect. Its always hard finding a good hotel over the internet because the pictures can be misleading. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is nestled right next to the river which makes it a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is very clean and updated. We enjoyed the family room style lobby with a cozy fireplace and sitting out on the balcony. Our family also enjoyed the dining room area as well. There was a table that accommodated the 9 of us (extended family came too)which was great for family breakfast. The breakfast food was very yummy as well and there was plenty to choose from! My daughters also loved being able to enjoy the indoor swimming pool during this time of year. We will definitely stay here again!!!

My wife and I were staying there for our annivesary for a couple of days. Reserved a suite river side with balcony. Check in and got a crappy double bed room facing the parking lot and rail yard. We left and went elsewhere.

This wasn't our first choice. We wanted to stay in Bryson City and this hotel in Dillsboro was our 3rd choice. However, this will be our First Choice from now on when we travel to Bryson City. Bryson City is a short 15 minute drive from the Hotel. The hotel sits on the river and the views are great. The rooms are spacious and updated. The breakfast was one of the best for a chain hotel.

We had a wonderful one night stay. We were in the area for WCU graduation ceremonies
