I paid $420 for a premium room. The room in the picture was a corner. The room that I got was nothing more than a standard room in appearance. When I checked in I was told that they were full and this is the room I get. It looked like your standard Holiday Inn. I was told because I booked through a third-party, Orbitz, this is my room. The money was taken out of my account when I booked the room. I will not use Orbitz again and I will not stay at the Westin book Cadillac again.

The property seemed overwhelmed and could not provide good customer service. The only persons who greeted and helped us where the room cleaning staff. Everyone else looked too busy. Had to self-park, which led to being charged for non-existent valet service. All this for $500 one-night stay - it was disappointing. Totally understand that the pandemic has affected service levels, but at least be honest with customers given the price point and expectation.

the room was very clean and comfortable .the bathroom very spacious.

Great location

All good! The only change that I would make is that the temperature control in the meeting rooms was not good.

It was very nice, clean and I love the historical architecture and venues.

Wonderful stay - would strongly recommend hotel. Conveniently located near sports stadiums and restaurants. A bit sketchy after dark -and would probably recommend taxi or uber transportation for that. Staff fantastic and very accommodating.

Hotel is very nice and in a perfect location to tour the city. Comfy rooms. Our only complaint was that when we got there at 3:00 (the official check-in time), we were told that our room was not ready because they now offer late checkout on Sundays at 3:00, so people were just checking out, so no rooms were available unless we wanted to pay more and upgrade our room. I stated no. When I reserved a room it stated I could check in at 3:00, so I am not going to pay more now to be able to check in at the time that was already guaranteed to me!! With that said, the front desk made it right when we went back to the desk the 2nd time when our room was ready at 4:15, by offering us free access to the 23rd floor dining room with free snacks and breakfast. Would stay again,as very nice place and staff, the Westin just needs to rethink their late checkout program, potentially adjust it to 2:00.

This is a great hotel in downtown Detroit. Our room was really big which was a nice surprise and the staff was the icing on the cake. Everyone was so friendly. The bellmen were all so genuine and kind, which is hard to find these days. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

beautiful hotel and great amenities. easy early check in with great staff during busy ncaa basketball tournament. HOWEVER, they failed to clean our room, unacceptable! we had the do not disturb sign up until 1pm, took it off for the remainder of day/night and never came by. i told the front desk at 7pm what happened and his answer, ' well they come by in the morning and if your sign is on the door, they move on. ridiculous! we spent $400/night, world traveler and never had that happen. bad customer service. safe in room did not work either
