The climate in Morocco varies from region to region. In general, the country experiences hot summers and mild winters. If you’re booking tickets to Morocco in order to go trekking through the Sahara, try to avoid June, July and August.
Like the desert, Morocco’s cities can be fiercely hot in the summer months. If you want to do a lot of sightseeing or take part in adrenaline-pumping activities, try to avoid traveling at the hottest part of the year and book your trip for spring, fall or winter instead.

The busiest airport in Morocco, Mohammed V International serves the city of Casablanca and the surrounding area. Regular flights depart from the terminal for destinations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America. From Mohammed V International you can catch a train to the city center and to Casablanca Port. Buses and taxis also serve the airport.
The second busiest airport in Morocco, Marrakesh Menara offers a good choice of flights to European destinations as well as a number of internal connections. A regular bus service links the airport with the city and you’ll also find taxis and shuttles at the terminal building.
Agadir has become a very popular destination in recent years, which has led to an increase in the number of passengers flying into Al Massira airport. Located around 12 miles from the resort itself, the airport operates flights to a number of European countries.

Within cities and resorts, you’ll find buses and taxis are the most convenient way to travel. Taxi fares can often be inflated for tourists so make sure you agree a price before you get in the car.
One of the most famous cities in Morocco, Marrakesh is known for its delicious food, its beautiful old town and its great shopping. Pick up a bargain in the Souq Semmarine or the Souq El Kebir, get lost in the winding streets of the Medina and soak up the sights and sounds of Morocco in the vibrant Djemaa El Fna square.
The capital of Morocco for over 400 years, Fes remains an important cultural and religious center in the country. The old walled part of the city is particularly beautiful, as is the historic Jewish quarter. Visit the city’s Chaouwara Tanneries to see the region’s famous leather being prepared for production.
Escape the heat of Morocco’s cities with a trip to the coastal town of Essaouira. Although the stiff Atlantic breeze makes sunbathing a challenge for much of the year, Essaouira’s atmospheric streets, palm-lined avenues and fantastic eateries make it well worth a visit.
