A nice older hotel in the old city. Stayed in room # 16. We were quite comfortable here. Our adult daughter stayed in room. #13 but AC and shower head didn't work. Everyone was very friendly. Lovely food (breakfast and dinner). Would stay here again. Just know what to expect.
Great location -- city center -- but no WiFi whatsoever in ANY of the rooms. I had to come downstairs to respond to email correspondence. The housekeeper didn't leave a single towel and when Said, the manager, brought me a couple of bath towels, I had to answer the door in a blanket. Breakfast was fine for seven euros but there was hardly anything remaining one hour into the feast when the voracious vultures demolished the fresh fruit and the kitchen staff finds the meaning of replenish anything seemingly incomprehensible. Someone had knocked over the carafe of coffee and I inadvertently placed my coveted New York Times straight into the mess. The "orange juice" was a diluted mezcla of something like Kool-Aid and Tang. However, you can request an omelette and a Moroccan pancake and the chef offers a plethora of paunch pleasing patisseries. As if this wasn't tormenting enough, the toilet was broken and Said, the front office manager, insisted he could fix it in the morning.....A broken toilet all evening? Finally, they offered to relocate me. Although I had a balcony, the serenade of street traffic was at an orchestral climax and the decibel levels were deafening. To culminate this wonder of anomalies, the television was broken. If all this is your idea of stress free accommodations, be their guest!
reception :number 1 is issam. good english french speaker front desk. restaurant : the breakfast was delicious rooms :are so pretty. service ; very good i recommend eeverybody in the whole world come to visit this hotel
Visited this place on vacation and selected it for its location and reputation as a nice place to have breakfast. The proximity to the train line which connects to the airport was also a plus. Although the neighborhood in which the hotel is situated is not all that nice (tons of traffic, lots of noise, far from tourist attractions, and near poorly lit construction sites), the rooms were clean and interestingly decorated (an entertaining and comically rendered re-creation of scenes inspired by 1001 Nights, executed on a low-budget). The breakfast buffet and staff service were better than any I experienced at similar hotels in this price range during previous travels throughout the country. The restaurant never seemed to be open for other meals, but there is a carry-out place across the street for use in dire emergencies and a fabulous little cafe about two blocks south that specializes in delicious juices and delightfully cheerful service (that place gets a full five stars!!!). Lastly, the hotel has functional air conditioning in the rooms - a rarity amongst similarly priced hotels in Morocco. All in all, if one is willing to put budget and breakfast or access to the rail system before convenience, one could hardly do better for the price.
This hotel is in great need for a new management and a total makeover. We had to fight to have a room with air conditionning in working order. We were not alone in this situation. In our second room the refrigerator did not work and there was unfinished renovations made. The front desk attendant was rude and was saying to many clients that he was not responsible for repairing the broken air conditionning. Also the wifi did not work in the rooms and only in the lobby and common areas. Finally, they sold to client bottles of water a 4 times the price in the street. Do not get caught by the romantic photos. This hotel is cheaply managed.
We had to change rooms due to a chemical smell. After givng us different false reasons for the smell we got other rooms but had to change again to accomodate new guests. This whould have been moore tollarable if they would be the least bit polite about it. Further, the shower flooded one of the rooms and the staff continously made loud noises and shouted at each other in the hallways and staircases.
On the plus side * Good breakfast - the best we had in our two week, around morocco tour. * Good Wifi * Good rooms On the negative side * We were so unfortunate to have an unfriendly desk clerk at the time of our visit. It shouldnt reflect on the rating as such, but we had several interactions with this person which sort of determined how we viewed our stay. We got a damp/moldy room and he didnt seem to interested in it eventhough we were offered a new. He didnt bother to give us advice when asked directly to provide it (where to go)
Last night of our tour... we stayed in a beautiful hotel in Casablanca to rest before our long journey home starts. Hospitality was good, the air conditioned rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. Wi-Fi is available.
The decoration of this Hotel is unique, original moroccan hand craftwork with exquisite details. The decoration of the rooms are also very nice, Air Condition working perfectly and the Free Wi-Fi is a welcomed round up. The Breakfast had good variety and taste. Dinner is recommended as you will get original moroccan dishes. The Hotel personnel is friendly and helpful, good english skills at the reception. By the way, the Hotel ist close to the old medina which can be access by a 10 min walk. The Train Station Casablanca Port is just around the corner. The area is urban and safe.
From the outside it doesn't look too good but once you're inside the decoration is really nice. I was there only one night but the rooms were clean and we had more than enough space. The breakfast was very diverse and the staff helpful.
