If i could give zero stars i would. The photos this hotel posts are very misleading. The lobby is dark and musty. Our shower did not work - only a trickle of cold water. The plumbing rattled and squealed every time we flushed. The breakfast was horrible. The desk staff can not be trusted. We had a tour booked and had a mix up on the time. The clerk overheard our conversation and called another guy to show up and represent himself as our prepaid tour. Fortunately our real tour company called and met us before we were scammed out of a lot of money. We felt very uncomfortable at the hotel after this and checked out 7 hours before our flight to avoid spending any more time there. Do Not Stay Here!
I stayed her overnight and really enjoyed the interior of the hotel which is very Moroccan. The 3 stars reflect the level of hotel it is, not my satisfaction which is 4 star. They also own Hotel Madrid in Chefchaouen Moroccan House in Marrakesh. I stayed at all. They are all clean and safe with well trained and polite staff.
Moroccan House hotel may have its glorious period before, with very interesting Moroccan décor. However, the hotel is old, very basic set up, and dirty. This was where I got the bed bugs. Travellers please be cautious!
Exactly what you’d expect to find in Morocco this hotel epitomises the Moroccan style of mosaic. The ambience is authentic and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean if a little run down and in the back end of town. The breakfast is typical Moroccan with crepes and delicious made to order omelettes. There are also Moroccan cakes and pastries and fresh croissants. As a budget option I’d recommend this hotel.
This hotel looks (and smells) like it had been unused for 50 years after the building was condemned. Dirty damp rooms, broken water fittings, dangerous and broken hot water system and air conditioning that only blows damp air. I nearly left the room to sleep on the street.
Most people who end up here have little choice due to it being used as a muster point for tour groups. For the amount of money they make you'd think they could afford to clean the rooms properly or add some lighting in the lobby. My main issue is that that I emailed ahead and asked them to help me book a walking tour with guide on my free day. I got a 'no problem. But yes problem. They ended up charging me a fortune for a 3 hour drive who spoke no english and dropped us in the middle of nowhere. For what amounts to a small kickback for the hotel results in a day (our one and only day) in Casablanca just ruined. Do NOT use them for any bookings or advice. My fellow travellers who used Urban Adventures were very impressed with their guides. There is no restaurant or hammam at this hotel. And after you see it you'll not want to eat there anyway. Also - our first room smelled terrible - as though it hadn't been used in years. I just don't know what they are thinking. The rest of Morocco by comparison was fantastic. Stay at the Ibis up the road.
This hotel has a lovely lobby, with absolutely glorious tile work and lighting. Great breakfasts in the restaurant across the street. The rooms are small, but comfortable. Be sure to bring your own toiletries.
But no need to hang in the hotel room. Clean sheets and a shower is all that’s needed. A spacious room, but no bar or restaurant or bottled water in rooms which we soon learnt to get your own. Yep average experience but location pretty good. Breakfast was just acceptable.
Authentic looking building but staff not friendliest, room not really great (broken shower door And very hard pillow). Location not in great area. Breakfast was good though. We stayed here as part of tour so we didnt select it.
I was drawn to the outrageous pictures and was disappointed by the spartan decor of our room. The desk clerk and other staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was great - lots of choices sitting in a Moroccan style room. This is an old riad close the wonderful Art deco downtown area of Casablanca. Can walk to Rick's Bar and the Medina. Good value though basic room.
