Moroccan House Hotel Casablanca

Our tour group stayed in this traditional old hotel when we were in Casablanca. To us the color and style seems to be a bit flunky. Different rooms has different color scheme. It is not near any place in interest though. It is clean though. A/c works but very limited tv stations. You have take a taxi to go to Hassan II Mosque. There are restaurants and a decent supermarket closed by. Breakfast choice is limited. If you showed up tiny bit late, all food would be gone except pastries and some sweet stuff. There was a male staff who cooked omelettes for guests but he disappeared very often. Rooms are quiet though.WiFi in room is extremely poor or no signal at all.

I chose this hotel because of its unusual decor. It certainly is funky! The staff were very nice although we didn't get our wake up call. That's Morocco, lots of staff but no real initiative or organisation. That said the Moroccan people are warm and friendly. The room was not that clean, hair in the bath. We had to put a towel in the bath to stand on. Close to train station Casa port. OK for one night.

Place is cute and has a pretty good included breakfast. Rooms are clean and so so. They have decorations that make them unique. Only 1of the 2 elevators work so lots of waiting in the dark because the lights are on a motion sensors. Good for 1 or 2 night stay. Staff are friendly.

Arrived late evening and we were leaving again early morning. We didn't get the "Arabian Nights boudoir" that other reviewers had mentioned so we were slightly disappointed! However, our room was clean and spacious, and decorated in vibrant primary colours with a comfortable cushioned bench seat running along one wall. The en-suite bathroom came with an unusual selection of toiletries (organic toothpaste, shaving gel and razor amongst other items). Due to late arrival we did not get much opportunity to explore but the helpful receptionist directed us to an ATM just around the corner and a nice restaurant for dinner which was about 10 mins walk away.

I understand the theory of this hotel but didn’t feel comfortable with the decor, did not feel could be kept clean. All a bit to much for me, beautiful decor and good staff very poorly located in what apparently is the financial capital !

Spent 5 days over two visits to Casa. By Moroccan standards the Breakfasts are better than i had any where over the country. Some good Omlets. to break the carbs they seem to favor over there. The decor is great though its a little tired I liked the feel. A good experience. fridge needed updating, in my particular room, not to say they all do. Its well located & a short walk to the train station( which is a great rail system, ) Ricks cafe, isn't far, & the french Architecture all walkable. I stayed in 3 different rooms & had poor out look, not to say you could get better if you are willing to pay for it, i payed only $60Aust for mine. Very reasonably priced, I don't expect a view for that price. would stay there again.

I stayed here for two nights. The good - convenient location close to the old quarter and restaurants, comfortable bed and good aircon. The bad - bit dark and dingy - character only goes so far. Towels supplied in the bathrooms have seen better days. Apparently all the rooms are decorated differently, so some may be better than others. The included breakfast was acceptable, but with two tour groups staying at the same time, they tended to run out of food and drink quickly.

This is a cute old hotel very nicely decorated. Sheets and bedding are old. This is my first experience in a 2 star hotel. The shower head didn't work. Breakfast is great. Lots selections of pastry, fruit, you can create your own omelette. The orange juice is like watered koolaid. No internet in the rooms, you can only get internet in the lobby. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The second night was part of the Gadventure tour. The hotel is traditional moroccan style. Some rooms can be very small. When we arrived, there was hardly anyone at the hotel, they gave us probably the smallest room at the hotel, with a double bed set against the wall. That means, in order for one person to get out of the bed, he or she has to climb over the other person??? Seriously you expect people to accept this arrangement? After we complained, they gave us a slightly bigger room. The issue in this room is with the shower door, it can only be closed completely from outside! When you ready to take a shower, your partner needs to come in and close the door for you from the outside! We did not want to change room again, so we dealt with this issues for two nights. Breakfast was good for Moroccan standard, noise was not an issue in general. There were plenty of restaurants nearby. Although most restaurants were closed when we were there due to a major holiday. A short taxi ride or 30 mins walk from Hassan Mosque. 20 mins walk to Ricks cafe. UN square is about 10 mins walk. Drinking water are very expensive at the hotel, but there is a small supermarket about 5 mins walk from the hotel. You can take the tramway to the beach, the station is about 5 mins walk from the hotel and you can purchase tickets from the machine directly if you have coins. The hotel can also arrange taxi to take you around, the charge is per hour. One has to be careful with the taxi driver in Casablanca, always agree with a price before getting on, have the right change to pay them or they will try everything not to give you the change back. Also there are several places nearby, hotels and banks etc where you can change your money. Overall, the hotel has a convenient location, clean, good breakfast. Ask to change your room if you don't like it.

A nice older hotel in the old city. Stayed in room # 16. We were quite comfortable here. Our adult daughter stayed in room. #13 but AC and shower head didn't work. Everyone was very friendly. Lovely food (breakfast and dinner). Would stay here again. Just know what to expect.
