LOVED the 21 & older only floor, unfortunately, we did hear children yelling in the pool beginning at 7 am this morning. everything else was great!
Our suite sat right on the Columbia River Gorge - our views were absolutely breathtaking. Our suite was spacious and had absolutely everything we could need or want. The food (we had breakfasts and dinners) at the Riverside is not at all what you expect @ a hotel - it's outstanding! The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

I stayed in room 156 and it smelled like smoke, I had to kill a brown spider that crawled out from a hole in the carpet near the bed, and I found a long brown hair in the shower. All these things could be fixed with proper cleaning, so maybe the other rooms are better. The hotel is short staffed in housekeeping, which might contribute to the problem. When you come dont stay in a basement level room.
This place was pretty nice overall. The room we got had long dark hair on the shower wall which means cleaning wasn’t that great. Then, our toilet seat wasn’t screwed down properly and everytime we’d use the toilet, it’d rock and lastly, the front door handle was loose. The view was great, the pool and the sauna was a definite plus too. I would consider staying here again sometime
It was disappointing that the hotel didn't honor their free breakfast that was listed on the Orbitz site when we booked. Apparently they don't give the breakfast to those who don't book directly thru Best Western. "when you book thru a 3rd party vendor like Orbitz or Expedia you don't get the free breakfast" Direct quote.
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel located along Hood River. It is definitely the nicest Best Western I've been to. the location is convenient and beautiful, the staff are nice, the rooms are clean and the food is fantastic. I strongly recommend that anyone staying in or passing through Hood River stay here.
