The hotel itself was clean, room was spacious, breakfast was an average hotel breakfast. On our second night there, the people in the room next to us were smoking marijuana and security would not kick them out. Only told them to stop. After that the occupants of that room spent hours fighting, screaming, yelling and banging things around. We were concerned for our safety and that of our three children who were with us. Other people from our floor were banging on their door telling them to be quiet. Security came up a second time and told them to be quiet or the police would be called and they finally quieted down. The next morning my husband came out of our room at the same time as two of them and, assuming we were the ones that called the front desk, threatened him and said, "Snitches get stitches". Luckily they left him alone and we left the hotel as soon as we gathered our things. Hotel management apologized profusely and refunded our money for that night, but if their security guard would have kicked them out when they were smoking pot, it never would have gotten that far. But apparently this Hyatt is okay with their customers doing illegal drugs in their rooms. (Oh, and did I mention it is a non-smoking hotel??)

Hotel room was clean and spacious. Only criticism - the shower door didn't stay closed while showering. Not very conducive to trying to trying to take a shower. :(

Hotel was remodeling and needed it badly don'the trust the pictures it's in pretty bad shape and smelled like an old smoking hotel the breakfast was the worst I have ever experienced and I have stayed in many hotels I'll stick with Marriott or Hilton from now on! Hyatt has left a bad taste in my mouth literally beware

Unfortunately the HVAC unit was operating with just two settings - on or off. When on, the unit was so noisy, sleep was a challenge. The fan choices of high-low did not work, if the fan was on it very noisy (low and high settings yield the same output and noise). Off was quiet, but it was the first 80 degree day - so up with the noise.

The room look great, with nice pictures and multi lights which may keep the room bright. Minor problems: 1. The two sockets on the side of TV console are too loose to hold plugs. 2. The bath fan sounds as noisy as hair dryer. 3. Heater is noisy too. 4. Too dry with the forced heated air, may consider to put humidifier in. 5. My own white towel was taken away by the room keeper, not a big deal though, so I didn't claim for it, and felt it would be hard to get back from the laundry.

The Hotel was very clean, comfortable pillow and bed. It was great location because Cleveland was short drive away.

The heating unit didn't work in the room. The floor was noisy as the room was right by the elevator. The room smelled like sausage in the morning from the breakfast area (even though it was on the 4th floor), and the breakfast was cold and stale. Things looked nice but it was all show...no substance.

The Hotel was really good, but unfortunately my room was right next to the elevator (213). The mechanical sounds of the elevator working was one thing to get used to, which became okay after awhile, but people were having loud conversations while waiting for the elevator. I had to be in bed by 10:30 and this was when everyone in a party mood was getting ready to go out. They may not have been aware that there were rooms tucked behind the elevator. The hotel did have signs on a back table to be quiet from 10 PM-6 AM, but were not easily seen. They should have it near the elevator buttons where people will see it. Nothing prepared me for the gang of drunk people that came in at 2:30 AM and couldn't find their room keys and let everyone on the floor know.Unruly guests can be the plague of any hotel, but maybe Hyatt can remind people to respect other guests through being quiet. But overall a good hotel.

I loved my stay at the Independence, OH Hyatt. I was only there for one night, but the entire experience from check-in to check-out was extremely pleasant. The staff was very courteous, I couldn't find a spot of dust or grime in my room anywhere, and the bed was so comfortable, I fell asleep as soon as I laid my head down. The hot, complimentary breakfast was awesome as well. Plenty of options to choose from. Would definitely stay there if I ever find myself in that area again.

Enjoyed the stay after a long tired day. Location was okay but amenities were great. Good staff!

Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Nice shower. Set up of room not the greatest. Really disappointed with the breakfast...thought it would be a hot breakfast bar with some food choices but the only thing they had were some scrawny little Egg McMuffin wannabe's.

Long road trip. Nice clean room. Fantastic for family with a warm breakfast and a good start to a long day. Very pleasantly surprised.

Room was great close to meetingwe where at tending

Nice hotel located close to the highway with several good dining options near by. Clean, comfortable rooms with a cheerful staff amke the stay pleasant.

The Hyatt in Independence, OH is surrounded by other hotels, all of which are probably suitable. But what makes this hotel preferable is not just its convenient location to the Cleveland Hopkins Airport, entrance onto I-77, and a plethora of dining options. The Hyatt is an incredible deal for what is offered in its rooms. I've stayed there three times now for business, and I've positively made up my mind that this is where I will continue to stay when I'm in Cleveland.

Room is clean and huge. Perhaps only setback was the pillow which I find them too soft

Did a weekend getaway from Detroit and booked this hotel room last minute online. Efficient check in and for the price, I think its perfectly fine. Only thing is that the pillow is a little too soft. Great breakfast available.

The Hyatt Cleveland/Independence is located at the end of a culdesac only a few minutes off of I-77 and Rockside Rd, making it a quiet location with no through-traffic. The room was very clean, spacious, had a wonderfully large bathroom and unexpectedly included a minibar with a refrigerator. A large HD TV was set in the middle of the room, viewable from either the bed or the wrap-around sofa. A suitable continental breakfast was included. All this for just $127 (including taxes and fees). I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

The room was large and very clean. Separate sitting-desk area, large TV, fast Wi-Fi. I found the bed a bit too firm for me, my wife said it was OK for her. AC was a bit noisy, but steady, so sleeping was good. Nice breakfast with fresh cooked eggs, fresh fruit and more. A quick 9 miles to downtown. Next time we are in Cleveland we will stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt the room, location, and staff were A1. However, I was a little disappointed with the breakfast as the dishes were a little dirty and I had a red piece of hair in my breakfast sandwhich. I also did not see a staff member present during the time I fixed my breakfast although I heard someone in the back. When I was about to depart from eating I did see a worker and of course she had the red hair that was in my food and she did not have on a net to cover her hair. Moreover I enjoyed my staff and the quietness I had in the 5th floor.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I sincerely apologize again for the issues you experienced during your time here. To reassure you, it is not okay for anyone doing illegal drugs in our hotel. Had I known what was happening prior to arriving to work on Saturday morning, it would have been handled differently. We are in the process of training newer employees on the overnight shift, both desk and security, which is why it probably appeared we did nothing. This incident has been brought up all week and our staff has assured me that they understand when and why people need to be removed from the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. I sincerely apologize your experience was anything less than ideal. Unfortunately, the lobby renovation will take away from the immediate impact our guests experience. The renovation is set to be finished by the second week of September. As one may expect, during renovations, the pictures are not going to be exactly what you see. The website shows pictures before and after the renovations. We are confident the finished product will be worth the inconvenience in the meantime.
