Cleveland can get very cold in the winter months, with often sub-zero temperatures for much of October through January. Contrastingly, summers can be sweltering, especially in the city center. The spring, from April to June, and fall, September through October, are the most pleasant times to visit the city.
However, there is no real bad time to visit Cleveland, with a host of year-round attractions to keep you entertained. Peak tourist season starts in mid-May, and visitor numbers can cause accommodation and flight prices to spike.

It was the site of the world’s first air traffic control tower and first airfield lighting system, as well as innovating separate arrival and departure areas.
The airport is connected to the city’s Rapid Transit system. Passengers can board the Red Line train at the station beneath the terminal, with one-way fares to any station costing $2.50. There is also a dedicated car rental facility located a short distance from the airport.

Cleveland has a reputation for being one of the easiest cities in the US for getting around. All over the downtown area, purple signs let you know which district you’re in. The streets that run north to south are numbered, with the east to west thoroughfares given names, which makes it easy to find any address.
Traffic is generally light, even at rush hour, although there are a few notorious hotspots. Public transport is operated by the Regional Transit Authority – it’s known locally as ‘the Rapid’. There are two light rail lines, the green and blue, and a heavy red line.
In addition, you’ll find a comprehensive bus network, including a rapid transit line known as ‘the Health’.
