We had an excellent experience at Drury. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always greeted us with a smile.. The rates were very reasonable and uopn check in we were given a free upgrade and the room was wonderful! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Mason
We stayed here for the Haunt at Kings Island on a Saturday. The front desk was so helpful and welcoming. The rooms are new so they were very nice and clean. The girls working the breakfast were constantly running. The crowd was very large but they did a great job keeping the pans of food full. The kids enjoyed all of the food and I thought the eggs were extremely tasty. The bar line was long but there were 2 ladies working the bar and they were cheerful and quick. It just was a lot of people all at once. I had a salad at the kickback and the kids ate hot dogs, baked potatoes, and nachos. We were happy with the variety and quality. I will stay here again when I am in the area!
We stayed here for one night the first weekend of October. The hotel was very clean. We had a suite, so there was a small tv room in the front that was separated from the bedroom with a door. The bathroom has a dispenser with soap, shampoo and conditioner if you forget yours. There were tons of kids staying in the hotel while we were there, but we didn't hear any noise from the hallway or other rooms. The hotel has the "kickback" from 5:30-7:00 like most Drury Inns where you get three complimentary drinks (either soda or alcoholic drinks). There were also some food items such as baked potatoes, chili, nachos, tacos and hot dogs. That's a great perk when you're travelling with kids! We used the pool, which was clean and the kids enjoyed it. It was very crowded in the pool area, but luckily everyone was pretty polite and respectful of each other while we were there. In the morning there was a pretty good breakfast with a waffle station, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, etc. Staff was friendly and polite as they always seem to be at Drury hotels. We had a pleasant stay and would stay there again.
I was so impressed with the front desk and how helpful they were and friendly. And the happy hour food and cocktails were great too. It was refreshing having a nice rue hot breakfast for a change. I highly recommend.
Stayed here on October 4th for some fun at Kings Island (very close).. Very nice property, clean as expected with Drury. Staff very friendly and attentive. The 5:30 kickback and free breakfast in the morning can't be beat. As a frequent guest at Drury, I do wish they would rotate some different foods into the 5:30 kickback sooner than they do. Frequent travelers kind of get tired of the same thing! THAT, is my only complaint with The Drury chain. Thanks for having some of the best properties in the Midwest and South!
The afternoon that we were planning to check in, we got a call from the hotel to let us know that there had been unplanned maintenance on the pool and that it would be closed during our stay, in case we wanted to alter our plans. Wow! That is some good customer service. Since we did not plan to use the pool, this was of no consequence to us. The check in staff greeted us, noted our room location request and gave us the requested room. The hotel still has that new, clean smell (nice!). The room was completely clean, with clean bedding and towels. The bathroom had a really nice walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. The bedside tables had an adequate number of outlets on each side (including USB plugs) for charging electronics. The wi-fi connection was easy, (and free) and fast enough that there was no noticeable performance issues. We went to breakfast right about the time it opens (730am). The food was good. Fluffy, not dry, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, nice cold name brand yogurt cups, fresh fruit, tortillas, biscuits, gravy, a waffle station, etc. Pretty good coffee too. Checkout was just dropping our key cards in a box as we walked out the door. Location is right off I77 in the heart of the commercial / shopping / entertainment area around Mason, OH - just north of Cincinnati. Bottom line - will definitely use this hotel in future trips
Wherever a Drury is available we will be there if a hotel is needed. It is the cleanest, best customer service, amenities are more than any other hotel. Beds are not fantastic but so much better than other hotels.. I did not have an aching back the 4 nights we were there. Pool & spa were so clean and big, breakfast AND DINNER.. PLUS free drinks, wine/beer, pop, popcorn, the best hotel breakfast... we definitely had a great experience!
Staying at Drury in for a nice weekend getaway with my son to Kings island. I had booked another hotel but changed to this one since it was new and mainly for its pool and hot tub. Went to go swimming and the pool is closed. I asked and a child had an accident so now the pool is closed our entire visit. My son was so disappointed. I know it’s not the hotels fault but ...
Stayed at hotel two nights. Different staff member at front desk each day/night and all were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! Did not get a chance to enjoy the reception (were on our way to a wedding) but walked through and the food looked delicious - pasta, hot dogs, salad, etc. Basically a free dinner. Room and bathroom large and clean. Mattress was comfortable. My only complaint is that the pillows were not very comfortable.
A new, clean hotel with the Drury business model of a hot breakfast buffet and evening light meal included in the price. Because the hotel is new, the price was great- around $80 plus tax. This hotel has a nice walk-in shower instead of a bathtub arrangement. And there are a couple of usb outlets on the desk in the room. There's a clean swimming pool and hot tub, free popcorn when you arrive and stand-up computer kiosks to surf the internet and print a boarding pass near the front desk. The stand-up reduces people from lingering for long periods of time on the computer, so you get access to a computer. Although the rooms have a microwave and refrigerator, there are (old-style) ice machines you can gush ice out of; the machines are located on several floors. A few small items- interstate access one direction is convenient, but the other direction can be roundabout and time consuming in traffic. The hotel access points are tight and it's difficult to make a left turn anywhere; the parking lot seemed to fill even with low capacity. Convenient parking may become a challenge. Employees were friendly; check-in was quick. Excellent.
