Wicker Park Inn

Wicker Park Inn is a perfect alternative to Chicago's Miracle Mile, our usual go-to destination in the city. Neighborhood is residential, trendy, and easily accessible to all points downtown. Laura is a lovely host, offering all manner of recommendations. We stayed in the Pierce Room on the second floor, which was super-quiet but windowless, except for the skylight above our bed. Breakfast room was cheerily renovated and meals were good but not exceptional. But you can't beat the location and the ambience of a hipster area.

Great accomodations at a good price. The staff was wonderful and the location was great. Breakfast was delicious!!!! We will definitely stay here again. The room was very clean. It's located next to the EL, but that was not a distraction.

I stayed in the Wolcott King room - beautiful room at the front of the place on the ground floor. My room had been recently renovated with a walk-in shower, all new tile, and beautifully decorated. Overall the room and the common areas (like the breakfast area) are beautifully designed and have a really hip, boutique design element to them. The location is great experiencing the neighborhood - restaurants, bars, coffee shops, all in walking distance. It's kind of perfectly positioned between Division Street and Milwaukie Ave so there's PLENTY to do and it's all just minutes to walk. The "L" train stop is close by - making it easy to get downtown and to the airport as well. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice B&B. My room is very nice, very clean and very comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I love this place and will definitely stay here on future trips. The owner personally greeted us. Can't say enough nice things about it.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in this great neighborhood so that we could visit our daughter. The Inn is cozy, clean, and comfortable (we stayed in the Damen King and slept very well), with charming staff and really good coffee. We will definitely be staying here next time we're in town.

This was our first time staying here. Our room (Paulina) was beautiful and very clean. We stayed on a weekend so we got a little more pampered as far as breakfast goes compared to weekedays. We learned that during the week guests still receive a delicious hot breakfast but it is more of a quick, self-serve type of set-up. I am sure it is still great and better than a contential breakfast given at hotels. The whole place is newly remodeled and crisp and clean. The kitchen & breakfast area is very nice. Our room was at the back of the building so we definitely heard the L train passing. That was fine though because they do a good job with stating that on their website. They also provide ear plugs. I didn't think it was that bad but I am not a light sleeper. We brought our own sound machine even though they provided one and it was fine. One thing that I would recommend is forewarning guests if there will be a party/event in the kitchen. At other B&Bs we have stayed at, we have been able to freely get a drink, snack or warm up our food in the microwave provided in the kitchen. After a day out we picked up a quick dinner downtown, rode the train back and planned on enjoying it at the inn after we got settled. When we arrived at the inn a private party was going on in the kitchen. We did not want to walk in on the party to serve ourselves glasses of water and heat our food. A worker told my husband that they could probably warm it up for us and that the hostess shouldn't mind. We thought we would give it a little more time but then by that time we felt it would be a lot to ask the worker to get our glasses of water, napkins, warm our food, etc. We just waited until the party was over to do that ourselves. Even though we ate later than we wanted, it wasn't too big of a deal. But if we would have known earlier in the day we would have planned to have dinner out instead of taking it back to the inn. Other than that, we had a nice time and would recommend this place without hesitation.

I stay at the Wicker Park Inn every time I come into Chicago for business. The location is perfect being close to everything that I need. The staff are always courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and perfect for getting a night’s rest. The owner is always helpful and responsive.

Charming, affordable, great homemade food, met all the guests staying there, comfortable bed/sheets, wonderful owner, easy parking spaces. A great experience and thanks to the Inn for everything. Graham, Alicia, and Claire Filler

This beautifully decorated and well looked after BnB is now one of my favorite places in the Wicker Park neighborhood in Chicago. Wicker Park is outside of downtown Chicago with great choices for food, drinks, galleries, coffeehouses and live music. You literally do not need to go downtown if you choose to stay in the neighborhood. Our room had a great bed, ceiling windows and awesome shower. Among many things two things really stood out for me about our room; the comfortable bed with soft and silky bedsheets from and the heated bathroom floor. The idea of a common dining room/kitchen is a great way to meet people and enjoy freshly made breakfast. I loved the fruit platter, omelet dishes and fresh brewed coffee, yum. Staff along with the owner were super friendly and helpful. We got lots of great tips and information about the neighborhood and restaurant choices. The blueline train is only 10 minutes away and the neighborhood has lots of Uber drivers. Enjoy your stay.

You can feel the warmth of Wicker Park Inn the minute you walk up to the front door. The beautiful building with a quaint front patio invites you right in! We were greeted by someone right away - she showed us to our room and walked us over to the kitchen/sitting area to show us where breakfast would be served. Our room was beautifully updated along with the rest of the house. The bed was comfortable and the made to order breakfast was delicious (great coffee too)! We can't wait to stay there again - I honestly can't imagine staying at a hotel after staying here.
