being in the hospitality industry myself, I have very high yet comfortable standards when it comes to dining, customer service, and of course hospitality. This hotel exceeded my standards by 1000x! Not only was the first impression of the boutique hotel beautiful from the finishes and style, every single staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful and they truly made our trip a whole. It was my boyfriend and I’s first visit to the city and the local recommendations from staff were truly incredible, from Coffee shops, to sight seeing, restaurants and more! The bedrooms - we’ve stayed in 4+ star hotels most of our careers and what a room! HUGE room with two large windows (although we requested the windows) the room was absolutely stunning. From the stylish sliding barn yard doors to the walk in shower and claw-foot style bathtub this room was an absolute couples dream. The bed a large King with pillow top and the most comfortable Bed I’ve slept on during vacation or traveling ANYWHERE. Yes anywhere. The housekeeping was always exceptional and were happy to take care of them at the end of our trip, our room ALWAYS smelled like roses! That’s not an exaggeration! We stayed for New Year’s and enjoyed The countdown in their lounge area because it was just so beautiful and perfect! We had such a good time we are looking to plan another trip back in August, and we are definitely planning on staying at The Gray again! 5 STARS 5 STARS!

Cece at the front desk was very professional and nice, and it really helped the overall experience of traveling all day and just wanting to get to your room.

In Chicago for the holiday weekend to visit my daughter and her fiancé. The hotel was very nice. Especially impressed with the staff. Very friendly and professional. Room was clean and lovely! Toiletries all smelled so yummy! Happy hour was a bonus! Love Kimpton hotels!

I love the Kimpton brand. So much so that during this visit I recommend my manager to stay at the same hotel. Service is always good and the rooms are always clean & comfortable. This time I even had great drinks at the bar.

The Kimpton Gray is located conveniently in the Loop. Close to Lake Michigan, Grant Park, and the El. The lounge area is fantastic. We'll be back.
