Very nice and affordable Close to everything in the area Lake walkable from here

I love this little hotel , Staff is friendly and the rooms are cozy. This is my second visit to this hotel. Great!

The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Great location.

A real Gem. Perfect South Loop location. A few minutes walking to the Red Line and Blue Line. Room was very clean and comfy and outfitted with a modern design including the bathroom and shower. Meli’s Cafe a great place for breakfast, albeit a little pricey. That is to be expected for downtown Chicago. Parking is an issue. Expect to pay $35-$45 a day within a couple blocks. Parked about three blocks away at 162 W. Harrison for $18 a day during week and $10 during the weekend. Definitely worth the money for a little extra walk. Also had in/out privileges which some lots did not. Used Spot Hero.

The property location is good but is a bit dated. Could use a revamp

This was a business trip with some vacation peppered in. The staff were so friendly, the room was wonderful, and I couldn't be happier! The hotel is situated within walking distance, or a quick train ride, to everything worth seeing in the city. I'd love to return and get to see what I didn't have time for this trip - and I am planning to come back to The Blake Hotel!!

I love this hotel.... I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

Nice hotel very clean. Great location. Starbucks was key located perfectly across the street

Great location!! Easy walking up and down Michigan Ave!!!

Convenient location for tourism. Friendly, helpful hotel staff. Note that there are a few floors that require being able to go up/down a half flight of stairs to access the rooms, so if stairs are a problem, make sure it's noted in your reservation. We'd requested a higher floor, but ended up on 1, so of course there was street noise, but it's a city, so nothing unexpected (and they provide earplugs for sleeping). The cafe was lovely. We went for dessert twice (loads of beautiful options including homemade gelato) and breakfast once. It's on the pricey side, but great food and they have room service available. We had a 2-queen room with a fridge and coffee maker. Nice they have cotton balls, cotton swabs, and makeup remover wipes in addition to the citrus-vanilla toiletries, and they let us take hotel towels when we hit the beach.

There are a block of rooms that face a wall...we were a little disappointed with the view but the hotel staff were friendly and moved us to a different room with a better view. Overall facility was really clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. They remembered us each day and joked around with us.

Checked in Friday afternoon and Showtime took real good care of us with a lot of positive energy! The desk personnel acted like they were genuinely happy to see us each time we walked in or out! The only downside was there’s barely any water pressure in the shower (took a really long time to get hot water) and there’s no restrooms in or near the fitness center. Other than that, the room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable.

This hotel is continently located near the 'L' blue line. It was easy to take the train in and get everywhere I needed to go - no need for a car, taxis, or Uber. The staff was very friendly and offered to move our room so my 4-yr old son could see the train from our room window. I was also impressed that since my son has allergies and couldn't have the complimentary arrival snack they offered, the staff went out of their way to get a small stuffed animal, which they gave him the next morning. Our stay was short, but we appreciated their thoughtfulness and will definitely stay here again next time we come to town.

Very nice building in a great location, close to everything. Building is showing its age a little, some scuffs and cracks in the rooms. A little touch up paint would go a long way but nothing that would stop me from booking this place again or recommending it to friends. My only complaint is the mattress was a little firm and had a dip on side from being worn out. Other than that great stay over New Years

Convenient location to family. Easy walk to Magnificent mile for shopping

Great accommodation, really couldn't ask for more.

Bed and room were comfortable, however the incessant squeaking and bumping noises from the heating/cooling system (which I could not turn off) were unbearable. The hotel provided ear plugs supposedly because of the noise on the street, however, my gut tells me they were provided due to the air system. When I called down to the front desk to inquire if there was a different room available with less noise, I was informed that the issue is pervasive. How in the world this hotel gets a 4.3 out of 5 is beyond me. Sleeping with ear plugs is highly uncomfortable, not to mention disruptive. NEVER AGAIN.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room itself was very spacious and extremely comfortable. It was conveniently located to almost every major cta train lines. The only complaint that I had for the whole place (I wouldn't really call it a major complaint) was that the shower took a long time to warm up. Other than that, it was a great stay and I would book it again tomorrow if I had the chance.

There was someone else's hairball behind the bathroom door that was never removed in my 4 days in the same room. That was after I had already switched rooms. The room had no real amenities, just a bed and desk. It was over priced for what I got in return.

This is the third year my husband an I have stayed here. We also enjoy our stay. The staff is friendly and helpful from the moment you pull up. It is in a great location. There is plenty to do within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again.
