Platinum lifer here. The staff in the concierge lounge is great. Particularly Maggie in the evenings. Very customer service oriented. If you have business near Midway or the nearby towns and villages, I highly recommend this hotel.
Had a nice stay at the Marriott. It was nothing fancy, but very clean and spacious so perfect for what we were wanting. I don’t typically stay at Marriott properties so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it reminded me much of a Hampton Inn. The room was ready when we arrived and I was able to pick whether I wanted two double beds or a king which was nice. We opted for the king and it was very comfortable. I also really liked the shower because the water pressure was excellent (a rarity in hotels lately). Vanessa at check-in was super friendly and helpful. We also took advantage of the bar area locked at the Copper Fox right next to the lobby. Overall the stay was not anything special but it was exactly what we needed. I would stay here again.
I stayed here one night before flying home after a conference as it is close to Midway airport and has a free shuttle. I was glad I di because tis hotel is better than most airport hotels. The room was spacious and clean, the bar and restaurants had good food and drinks and the service was excellent. The next morning the shuttle was on time and took less than 5 minutes to get to the airport. I would recommend the hotel to anyone needing a room near Midway airport.
We had a small business meeting here last week, and the staff was awesome. There were 7 of us for 2 Days, and weren’t spending a lot of money on f&b - but all the staff still treated us like we were their most important clients. Such great service all around, and the woman on the concierge lounge was amazing. Maggie maybe? Hotel rooms were nice, clean, hotel food was very good. Clearly there isn’t a lot to do outside the hotel since this is out by the airport, but if you are looking for a nice place to stay out that way, this is a great choice.
My daughter and I stayed there for the night due to our late arrival into Chicago. It's a short distance from the airport which was great. The beds were wonderful just right, not to soft not to hard but just right. Our room was right around the corner from the front desk which was even better, because we didn't have very far to walk with suitcases. Room was very nice and clean it had a small refrigerator and coffee if you so desire. Just can't say enough about the bed it was so comfortable. Reserved through Priceline. Great location close to airport also great price....
Rooms were clean, beds were comfy and customer service by Vanessa and Mike at the front desk on 10/27/17 was excellent. They were both friendly and made us feel like valued Marriott customers. Great job!
Convenient when you fly into Chicago Midway, the Marriott has both shuttle service and ample parking, rooms with mini kitchens, and a Starbucks in the lobby. I’ve stayed twice and enjoyed both. Solid and reliable choice
I wish I could do better by this hotel. But I honestly cannot. Stayed here two weeknights on business travel. I would not recommend it for that purpose. Pluses: The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. And each is extremely well lit, a rarity nowadays. The staff really does try hard and is very accommodating--IMO, they are simply overwhelmed by the number of guests and the physical characteristics of the hotel. Minuses: Initial check-in took 20 min for a person to find a room and happened only when two other staff members came to help. When I went to that room, it was not clean--very messy bed, ironing board in the center of the room, bathroom a mess, etc. Returned to lobby, finally got another room. The room key for the new room failed to work for reentry on day 1, so I once again had to go to the lobby desk to get a new key. None of the designated keys, e.g., messages, at your service, work on the room phone. There is some kind of pervasive faintly sweet smell permeating the hotel, especially the elevators. The noise level in the lobby was extremely loud and hurtful both nights; even the staff found said they found it distracting. If this is the norm, something should really be done to close off the bar/restaurant from the lobby. One cannot realistically sit and rest in the lobby or talk to the staff at reception. The concierge lounge is relatively small, but seems to accommodate its visitors. The staff here are also very friendly. Entrees at breakfast or dinner are very good. Lack of a green salad at dinner is a deficit. As said, I would like to be more positive, if only because the staff try to do their best, but a number of issues prevent anything better than an average review. Perhaps if there is a major physical rebuild over the next year or two, as I understand is planned, it will alleviate or be easier to improve upon perceived weaknesses. Until then, this place might be OK for a short stay for travel to/from Midway, but if you are visiting Chicago for business and looking for standard Marriott accoutrements, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
The staff was friendly, very inviting and very professional. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. My wife and I stay all over the country in random hotels. Marriott just got regulars because of the staff at this hotel.
I Had A Great Stay! Would Definitely Do It Again. It's Close To The Airport For Easy Traveling And Short Stays. The Manager Was Very Helpful And Pleasant. The Rooms Were Clean Which Makes For A Great Stay.
