I will start by saying that I was hesitant about booking here based on my extensive reading of the reviews. However, I would give my stay here a 10/10. My partner and I stayed here for one night on NYE, and enjoyed the one night stay. Staff: Very friendly and welcoming. Also, very helpful in recommending places to go to for NYE. Parking: There is parking right next to the hotel and if you give the front desk your ticket to validate before leaving it is only $35. The Room: We booked the Standard Room, 1 Queen Bed, Non Smoking, City View. It came with a fridge and an amazing view. The room was very clean and a nice layout. Also, I saw in previous comments there was a mentioning of bugs, but we did not see any. The only thing I would note is since we were in a room with a city view, we did hear a lot of the sound from the city. It did not bother us but if you are noise sensitive, it might not be a good idea to book this room. Location: It can’t get better than this. We walked everywhere that night and it was very close. If you’re coming for NYE I would recommend the fireworks at Navy Pier. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice place with an even better location in the city. Also, we booked through Orbitz, which if you use often might come with a great discount like ours did.
One word. Roaches. There were roaches in the shower, bathroom, main room. There werent any complimentary drinks, or even drinks in the mini fridge. We had to walk to a local walgreens. The tv also was not hooked up to the internet, so we could not stream anything or even hook our phones up in order to mirror something from our phones to the tv. No amenities being that it was the holiday season. No bar, bakery, or morning coffee. I was grossed out and checked out after 2 hrs. I did get discounted parking. It was originally $55. I paid $32.
Staff was very friendly, room was spacious, and location was close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions.
The check in staff was very fun and accommodating. The whole vibe is great with old records on the walls, chalkboards on the doors, and funky furniture in the room. Big fan and will stay again!
Unique place to stay. Front desk staff wasn’t the most polite, but our needs were met. Found it odd not to have a coffee machine in the room, but you could use Alexa to order some? Couldn’t figure it out and just went out to grab some. Overall a good stay with my girlfriends - I’m not sure i would want to stay here with my family.
The hotel was clean and decorated differently which made it cool to look at. Rooms are a bit smaller than other places but not bad. Note for travellers who are parking there, the $25/day as advertised is without in/out priveleges. So if you don't plan on driving anywhere after you get there, it's a good deal. It's $45/day with in/out privileges.
The staff was very pleasant. Our bathroom was missing soap, and didn't appear very clean. Our remote for the TV needed new batteries in it, and it took an hour for someone to come up and replace them at 9pm.
