Spiders, killed 2. Breakfast - guessing the quality is standard for a BW, but then I dont normally stay at a BW. We only chose this hotel bc it was a college fb weekend and this was the closest hotel (30 min away) we could find at a "reasonable" price. Some lightbulbs out. Door jam lock was broken. No maid service unless requested. Side door taped over, so dn require a key. The best part of the hotel was the scenery out the back window of a wooded creek...which was probably the source of the spiders, but it was pretty. Room coffee bad, but they had a kureg with Starbucks k cups in the lobby

Spacious lobby and room, friendly staff. Nothing fancy but no complaints. They do allow smoking in some of the rooms so if you are very sensitive to that, I would maybe reconsider. My room was non smoking but had a bit of a smoky smell.

The property is well manicured and rooms were clean. I would have rated the stay higher but we were traveling with 2 dogs and there was an up-charge of 10 dollars a day per pet. When we checked in a very rude clerk (afternoon) first ignored us when checking in and once acknowledged us proceeded to tell us the online was incorrect and said that we owed 40 per pet per night. I pointed out the online price is why we picked this location so he called and scolded “someone” to change the listing then proceeded to charge us 10 and 20 for the larger dog. Upon checking out I asked the very professional day clerk to investigate and she reversed the extra charges. I hated to rate staff low due to one clerk (afternoon) at check-in but he was one of the rudest people I have ran across in this setting.

Overall a nice stay with the exception of ants invading our room. They moved us to another room same problem. Probably think twice about staying here again.

I picked this hotel because of the pool and the continental breakfast because I had children with me. Upon arrival, we were not told at check-in that the pool had been shut down by the Health Dept. We soon found out that it had been shut down 10 days earlier and still was not up and running. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, and we had ants in our room and smoke detector was literally hanging off the ceiling by a wire. And on top of all this, the Wi-Fi was down as well.
