Holiday Inn Sydney - Waterfront

Everything was excellent. The only issues were that the prices for meals; especially breakfast in the restaurant were unreasonably high. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. They made every effort to make the experience at the hotel exceptional.

It was decent and adequate for my travel needs. I didn't stay long to give it much of a review, but from what I've seen it was very clean and the staff that I encountered were very helpful.

Hotel was great, chose it for the location (bar on site and band).

Easy to book. Nice, friendly staff. Nice pub with live entertainment. Quiet, no problems. Beautiful view of Sydney Harbour. Right by the ferry terminal. Easy walk around downtown.

hotel has clean rooms with enough space for two people. Great view of the harbour and boardwalk.Staff is helpful and friendly.A very pleasant stay

The room was fine and had a nice view of the harbour. Getting in was a pain as we we arrived at 1pm and were told to come back at 2:30 as our rooms were not ready. We took the kids to lunch and came back at 2:30 and were told the rooms were not ready, try back at 4pm. Well, that doesn't cut it with a 5- and 3-year old who have been in the car for 4 hours and are desperately excited about getting into a swimming pool. The manager was able to make some rearrangements and get us into some rooms but the girl at the front desk was not particularly friendly or helpful about it. In fact, I'm sorry to report that Sydney in general was by far the least friendly city of any we visited in a tour of 10 Maritime destinations on this trip. The worst thing was the restaurant. Understaffed by half, the dinner and especially the breakfast teams were stressed out, taking forever to get to our tables, forgetting requests, misinterpreting clear requests (i.e. "Could we get a bigger straw please?" resulted in 2 more of exactly the same kind of super-skinny straw that our son could not drink from). The food was mediocre at best, and my eggs benedict was in fact the worst rendition of the dish I have ever seen or tasted. But it was the service that was worst. So, go out to eat!

Corner room with view to the harbor. Clean, modern, very comfi bed. Food is very good, but a little expansive. A must in Sydney! Were there for a wedding.

THEY UPGRADED OUR ROOM TO A CORNER FRONT FACING THE WATER FRONT. GREAT SUNSETS. GREAT BREAKFESTS. EASY TO WALK AROUND DOWNTOWN.

Excellent location and check-in. Free parking and made-to-order breakfast a great bonus with the government rate.
