The accommodation is ok and comfortable, bedroom, sheets and bathroom clean. Cable TV. However, we were expecting much more from a 4-star hotel. Initially, the hotel staff coud have shown up more helpful in situations when information was needed (I asked for recommendation where to exchange money, the lady said the hotel could do it for a not so good rate, which I declined, but no additional recommendation was given though). In addition, the staff could have been more kind in ordinary situations, such as removing the breakfast stuff from the tables as soon as they could. Also, it seems like the hotel hasn't gone through any renovation after many many years. In general terms, the hotel has a good location nearby Recoleta.
This hotel is incredible for the price it cost me. I stayed there Christmas Eve, 2016. The staff is wonderful and they serve a wonderful breakfast. It is located in one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Very quiet and private.
The hotel was ok. They have wifi which was helpful. The elevators are super tiny and there was only one working when we were there (which got stuck with people in it!!!) Needless to say, we used the stairs a lot! The hotel is within walking distance (10-15 mins) to Recoleta which is nice.... because there are not good places to eat next to the hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful.
Booked the hotel through British Airways Flight+Hotel. Description of "poolside bar/cafe" and restaurant available for dinner is very misleading as there is no pool and the restaurant is only open for breakfast, although the cafe right next door does also offer food at a reasonable price. Hotel Manager, Patricio was very helpful and friendly and booked us a good City Tour and History of Tango Show, which we enjoyed a lot. Rooms were clean but very dated and quite dark. Lifts are the old type of open outside door and slide inside door. Impossible to get more than two people in or one person and a suitcase. Reasonable location for walking to Recoleta or Avenida Santa Fe and a couple of nice cafe/restaurants close by. If we were staying for 2 nights it would have been fine but as we were there for a week after our 15 day cruise air was simply not the right hotel for us without a pool or outside sitting area.
Great location,Conciege extremely helpful with every detail taken care of. He worked very hard to get us everything we asked for . Rooms are very clean and all staff are friendly nand very professional.Transfer from airport arranged by concierge a very great idea and well done
We stayed here for 5 nights in February and found no major issues with our room or the hotel on the whole. The room was clean, and while yes some parts are dated (like the toilets), they worked well. Hot water and soap, etc given. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful with organising a taxi and holding our bags before we left. Its location is in Retiro, which isn't close to the sites, but you're within 10 minutes walking distance of the cemetery, Av. 9 de Julio, and some decent cafes. The breakfast area is small, but we never found it a challenge to get a seat. Food was a bit sugary, but I think that's an Argentinian thing, but it's tasty enough. Staff were wonderful and filled out water bottles every morning before we left for the day. All in all, if you're looking for a place to rest your head at night, and an alright price for central BA, this is a good choice.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel from Dec 25th to Dec 30th in 2016.This was on of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Upon arrival , we realized our room hasn't been cleaned at all. The sheets were filthy and there were no towels in our room.the next day we asked for towels but when we returned to our room , we found the towels placed on the toilet seats! overall the room was in really bad shape, the curtains had stains on them and the washroom was really dirty! Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, our AC started leaking and formed a puddle in our room. We informed the night concierge but they didn't do anything about it! so we had to turn off the AC and trust me it was very hot! Stay away from this place! it doesn't even deserve to get 1 star.
We have just stayed at this hotel couble days ago .We had a very bad experience and we have been attacked by the bedbugs. The towels also were veyy hard and dirty. There was one front desk manager who was on duty on the evening of jan 29th was speaking very loudly all night we couldn't even sleep and ı had do go dowstairs to warn him. Please stay away from this hotel for your health..You can see the pictutes attached after the bedbug attack we had realised after we checked out from the hotel and finn't even had a chance to complain about the situation.
Here we go! When we arrived there was no toilet paper on the bathroom, we complained and after quite a good time they provided us 'one'. The overall state of the place was deceptive, impotent at first but lack maintenance. Beware of the upgrade notice at the desk US$ 25/day. The room and the bathroom were filthy. The towels torn and worn to the core, I don't think they changed them since the day the hotel opened. In the other hand the staff was nice and the location fantastic.
Dirty room, no recharge of minibar during our entire stay (10) days, toilet paper rations ( they did not recharge it and when we asked for more, as ours had ended, they only gave us one because it was "the last one", made us went down to the reception to get it, couldn't even deliver to our room! When we arrived the sheets were stained, we said so and they just gave us one single sheet for a couple bed for us to make our own bed. The grey sofa was completely disgusting, dirty and stained and we didn't dare to touch it. When we opened one of the closets, there were trash from previous guest, the shower curtain was musty and the pillows uncomfortable beyond belief. Also, at 10 pm,we asked for more water bottles as the ones from the minibar were over and they told us to go buy more in some store, didn't even offer a glass. The magnetic keys were terrible and would stop working in a matter of ours, we had to fix it all the time. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone and if I hadn't payed for the entire stay previously we would probably leave to another hotel.
