Husband and I spent two weeks here and would stay again. It was off season so I don't know how quiet it would be if packed, but we were in the back building (by request) and it was very quiet. Not more than 5 minutes from anything we had planned on doing. Nice little game area with bocce, mini golf, ping pong, picnic tables, little walking trail. They were very busy, planting, cleaning, painting, changing out furniture etc getting ready for the season. My excellent rating is not comparing this to any other place, rather my feeling of its own accommodations vs price. Of course, there are more upscale places around town but nothing at Foxborough caused me to wish I had booked someplace else.
Please don't stay there it was very unprofessional asked for $50. up front for cleaning non refundable and the rooms weren't even clean, white socks got black really quick, long way to get towels, kids were running the office.
The rooms were set up nice. Could work a little on cosmetic. Such as broken vents on the heat/air conditioner. The beds in one room was sitting on stacks of 2x4's, rolled to the center of the bed all night.
The room seriously needs some attention. There were some newly remodeled rooms, but we got one that was old, cheap construction, and uncomfortable beds. The staff was very helpful and professional. The overall facility is in a beautiful location and the outside is well kept and clean. We didn't use the basket ball court or workout room.
Foxborough resort is not a resort that I am use to. This is just a glorified hotel room. Couch, chairs and table look like they came from a garage sale. Carpet was stained. Nothing cleaned along walls. Poorly maintained.
The rooms were clean and the cleaning people were very helpful. I would like to see more lighting on the lower level and above the doors to the rooms. The location on the expressway was very convenient and it was easy to avoid the Branson traffic.
Was wary due to some prior reviews, but decided to try it for a short visit & would certainly stay again based upon experience. Yes, it is a converted hotel, rather than a real 'resort', but it met our needs & served nicely as a base of operations for our Branson visit last weekend. Rainy weather foreclosed opportunity to check out some of the available amenities, but we were principally there for SDC Festival of Wonder & a couple of shows. Check-in/out went smoothly & elevator & luggage carts were a definite plus for aging bodies. Had 1 BR, which is 2 rooms put together, 1 with bed, closet (& stack washer/dryer inside) & bathroom & other with living, kitchen & eating areas. Space was ample for the 2 of us & everything was in working order. TVs were a bit small for my preference, but pretty good quality & not that far from seating. Plenty of hot water & water pressure & vanity & sink separate from commode & bath were a plus. Could use some curtains in addition to/over the blinds, but am an early riser & had no problem feeling secure from passersby.
Rooms were freshly painted, carpet appeared new. Great location. Rooms were large and had everything we needed for our home away from home. Mattress and sofa were both very soft and could use updating.
It is in a very quiet location and the room was clean and spacious. However, the cheap mini blinds allowed lots of light into the bedroom which hindered sleep. The resort is being remodeled, so lots of changes.
We checked in today. We are in furthest room from office. Internet is not very good. I spoke to gentleman at front desk. He will send maintenance tomorrow. One bed in my two bedroom area is falling in in the middle. The couch looks like it should have been burnt years ago. One corner is loose, tacks exposed. Very dangerous. The bathrooms are small. Towels are small soap bars are small. See the trend? The circumstances may dictate the problems. Apparently the resort suffered some water damage as a result of the heavy rains. We are here a week. I hope thing improve and I can review this property in a better light Another drawback. Three story building no elevator. One of the sliding door in my bedroom is off track. Another small thing which adds up to a poor review. Well we finally finished the week. No maid service. Tv's worked well. Shower worked well. But that is the only two positivities I can say about this resort. I heard that Foxbrough is rated dead list in the resort catagory in Branson. It is a shame that we chose this resort but never again. Words cannot express our disappointment with RCI and this resort.
