We booked this property due to it being pet friendly and it having great rates. This property had great reviews when I booked it. We tried to check in early as we had a dog and the lady at the desk informed me our room wasn’t ready yet. No big deal at all to us because we were there several hours before check in time. She then informed me that the “new management” up and left the morning before at 3AM leaving the maintenance man to “take over.” We waited until normal check in time to come back. When I asked about breakfast they told me they don’t have breakfast because the health department shut all continental breakfasts down in all hotels a week ago. This wasn’t true because my parents hotel did have continental breakfast. The rooms were clean, but our stay took a turn for the worst when we were suddenly awoken at 530 AM to doors being beat down and yelling a few doors down from ours. After trying to figure out what was going on, we stuck our head out the door to the SWAT team with two people arrested in the hallway. When we were finally able to leave an hour later SWAT and the local police department had about 10 people arrested and/or detained outside the hotel lobby. I’m not exactly sure what was going on but, I’m under the impression it had something to do with some of the hotel staff. Needless to say, we will not frequent this location again and requested a full refund, which was granted.
