Great.would recommend. I wish they had a pool or at least a hot tub or sauna for these cold winter months.

Great location. Rooms are immaculate. Staff is professional and very friendly. But, there is no pool.

Historical value, iths building is an amazing place.

Old building, well kept, rooms are great. One thing I didn't like, the HVAC is loud and doesn't understand temperature settings. So within the same night the room drops to 50F and I'm woken up because it's so cold. And then it rises to 84F, because it's so hot. Basically the thermostat doesn't switch.

I stayed here for one night for business travel but this was a surprisingly good place to stay for an extended period. There's an observation deck on the 25th (?) floor, a game room, a movie theater, free laundry rooms have basic kitchen appliances (I don't remember if there was a refrigerator). My room was essentially a two-room apartment, with kitchen/living area and then a bedroom (bathroom in between off a little hallway). The building is beautiful, historic, and well-maintained. I am surprised the pricing is competitive with other area hotels, given that the rooms are so spacious.

I stayed at the Marriott Custom House on the waterfront in Boston. The accomodations, location and price were just what I was looking for. I had an early am check-in that the staff was ready for. The cleaning service was timely and unobtrusive and the simple continental breakfast was just what I needed for a quick get out in the morning.

This great hotel exceeded my expectations in all but one area, food availability within the hotel. Tired of traveling and bitter cold outside, even a limited hot food menu would have been terrific. Other than that, I will be back in the warmer months. Great location and friendly staff. Close to the night action. Request a high floor room.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Once you arrive, just give your keys to the valet and walk everywhere. We had an interesting room with ceilings that were at least 25 feet tall. The room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. the view from the observation deck was spectacular.

Historic building near everything. Great room that was really a suite. As close to the Harbor as you can get.

I spent the first night of new year in this hotel.

What a gorgeous hotel to stay at in Boston and near the waterfront and the government center. The location was perfect for our family to walk to the activities and restaurants. The suite is lovely. Very comfortable and elegant. We watched a movie by ourselves in the movie theatre in the hotel. You just request the room for when you want it and you have your own private movie experience. There are a number of activities available at the hotel throughout the day that are free to the guests. Check out their daily schedule! How wonderful to stay in a historic building such as this!

The hotel was in a perfect spot, and the staff were incredible. However our room itself needed some work. It was an odd layout and the room was very hot and was in desperate need of a ceiling fan or two. My husband and I ended up sleeping on the couch bed so that we could stay cooler. (The real bed was upstairs where the temperature was about 20 degrees hotter).

The staff is warm, friendly and very helpful. It's a great location to walk around and see the sites of Boston. Even in winter there's lots to do. The staff at the Custom House made us feel like they could not do enough for us.

So glad we decided to stay here! Wonderful and comfortable suite. Location doesn't get any better. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the Black Rose Bar in Quincy Market. The location was great but there was a cold breeze coming in from the massive windows in the room. Our entire family woke up at 3am looking for additional blankets and sweatshirts to put on. The heat was cranked up as high as it went but it was just too cold. I let the front desk know and they refunded the valet parking charge since we had such a miserable night. I was okay with that and I would stay at the hotel again since it is beautiful, but I would ask for a higher room and/or one where the heat was working.

Very nice historical building in the center of boston, with just a short walk to many fine dining restraunts, and the best irish pubs Boston has to offer. Because it's in the center of town and surrounded by bars and pubs, it gets very loud at night. I would recommend a higher level suit, we were on the 2nd floor with our room over looking the black rose pub, which was pretty loud til about 2 - 3 in the am.
