My girlfriend and I were making our way down to New Orleans and only intended on staying a single Thursday night but ended up staying for the whole weekend! The staff was very friendly and made our stay so enjoyable! They recommended many hot spots to visit and left us craving more to what this town had to offer while providing a welcoming sense of being at home. Our rooms were cleaned promptly in the afternoon while we explored the town and the front desk was extremely responsive to any of our needs making our stay as easy and comfortable as can be. Would recommend and plan to visit on our trip back home!
My two children and I stayed at the red roof inn, portallen as we had some friends in town. Great location! When we walked in the front door we were greeted right away and taken very good care of by Christine! She had an amazing very professional attitude, got us checked in quickly! The room was very clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the continental breakfast. We even used pool as it was nice and clean, quiet, and relaxing! we enjoyed our stay and We will be back! Thanks for making us feel at home!
Me and My Co-Worker were looking for a closer motel to our job. I called the red roof inn in port allen and spoke with a very professional lady (Christine) she reserved our room right then. We stayed for a month at the red roof inn and every day the staff was very polite and professional and extremely Courteous. They cleaned the room everyday around our work schedule supplied clean towels, vacuumed, normal stuff to a hotel room and always went above and beyond with our needs. they provide breakfast and if there is something you would prefer and they have it they will get it for you. I travel a lot with my job and I can say without a doubt I will stay there again and will recommend everyone I know to stay there plus I will advise my company to book all of our workers at the Red Roof Inn.
Me and my family of 4, stayed here for 11 days and while the staff has been friendly they are definitely not in appropriate attire. Most of the time when housekeeping comes I am in the room and I vacuum and do most of the cleaning myself. But on the 3 days I was out all they did was take out the trash and replace towels, I always make the beds and gather all the trash and dirty laundry for them. The room was never vacuumed, bathroom was never cleaned, and I never got replacement bar soap. Even when they did replace my sheets I helped strip the beds and then made both of them myself. As mentioned in the above review they do wear PJ’s, the one housekeeper was wearing very noticeable pink slippers when cleaning rooms. It also seems as if most of the staff lives on the property, which makes me question the hotel. The laundry room is a small unventilated closet on the side of the building. The pool is nice but doesn’t seem to be cleaned very well and always taste like salt. And even though the rules at the pool clearly state that an adult must always be with a child, the workers who live here let their children go out to the pool unattended all the time. It is not a very professional place at all, my whole stay felt like I was staying in white trash housing vs. a hotel. They do not have a business center even though it was advertised online and there “LARGE WORKING SPACE” the advertise is a joke it’s a small desk with just enough room for a computer and a notepad. It also states online that they have an onsite fitness center—MORE LIES, there is no fitness center. If you must ever come and stay in Baton Rouge or Port Allen skip this exit and go down one more to Lobdell Highway. We stayed at the Hampton Inn over there on a previous visit and the rooms are much roomier, cleaner, and the housekeeping always took very well care of my room. There breakfast has a lot more options and the staff is always appropriately dressed and groomed. When we booked this room at the Red Roof Inn we paid $100 plus tax a night, if you are staying for and extended amount of time talk to the manager at the Hampton he worked with us last time and got our room for $99 plus tax a night.
Spend the weekend with my family here could not have asked for better service the stay was very friendly and the hotel was very well kept up best red roof i have ever been too well definitely stay back here
My family and I was looking for a weekend get away so we stayed here at the red roof inn in port Allen. We had a wonderful time the staff was very friendly and the hotel it self was very well kept up one of the best red roofs I have every stayed at well definitely be back very soon.
I came in for the weekend to spend time with my boyfriend who is working close by. First I was greeted with smiles and they even remembered who I was, after catching up I went to the room where the housekeeper had already serviced it. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. I also noticed that since the last time I was here that the room had been painted which made the room look brighter. I can't say enough good things about this place, if you want to feel at home with great people and even better service this is the place!
I live in KY and while in the Baton Rouge area I stayed at the Port Allen Red Roof Inn on Hwy 1. when I was checking in I was told that the room was ready and clean, that breakfast would be available in the morning, and that the maid service would clean my room daily. Now these are things that you expect from a hotel but in my travels I have learned that this quite frequently does not occur. At this location of Red Roof Inn, it was as if I were staying at the Waldorph!! The entire staff doted on me as if I were the owner of the place. the breakfast was available when they said it was, & the room was as clean as a whistle, and was kept that way through out my stay. 10 out of 10 falls short of this experience. I WILL BE BACK when I travel through again.
this is my favorite place to stay when I am in town. the staff is friendly, it's a clean, comfortable, place to stay. very convenient area. gas station, walmart, waffle house and seafood is sold in almost walking distance. I have no complaints.
The staff was excellent, the room was great. Cleaner than another I've stayed at. Would never know this was a smoking room. Restaurants close by along with Wal-Mart in case we forgot anything, tooth brush etc. The price was the same as a lower end Inn we stayed at in the past. When traveling through or to this area we will be staying here.
