Beautiful location right there on the water, reasonable price and excellent, accommodating service - we liked the hotel so much, we stayed an extra day! My only suggestion for the management would be to increase variety for their breakfast buffet - please, make sure to have BOTH your delicious ham/meats ...

Came up to Ellsworth for a family Thanksgiving in Blue Hill. Very convenient location. EVERYONE was so very accomadating and friendly. Definitely will stay here in the future!

Heating unit was too loud make it difficult to sleep thru the night.

We were just staying for 1 night and it is a convenient place to stay, close to restaurants, shops, not too far to Acadia.

Price, location, and staff were great. We stayed 2 nights instead of the 1 night we planned because we really liked the spot.
WE loved the proximity to downtown and the Harbor. It was very quiet, clean, and the free breakfast was much better than your typical hotels.
Once Maine’s largest resort, this Mount Desert Island town contains a rich history and many attractions that are still loved to this day. Many visitors choose Bar Harbor as their vacation destination because of its proximity to Acadia National Park. However, it is also a great destination for families looking for kid-friendly attractions, such as the zoo. On top of that, it is a great destination for fans of craft beer or boutique store shoppers, too.
Downtown Bar Harbor is where all of the main attractions of the resort town, such as Bar Harbor Whale Watching and the Abbe Museum, are located. This area is the ideal place to stay if you like being in close proximity to local bars, restaurants, and stores.
One of Maine’s most loved natural attractions is Acadia National Park, which is home to all sorts of hikes, viewpoints, and activities, including Bubble Rock, the Precipice Trail,Hulls Cove Visitor’s Center,Jordan Pond, and Cadillac Mountain. Staying in a hotel near the national park will enable you to have these activities and more right on your doorstep.
If you are looking for an alternative place to stay, check out the quieter Bass Harbor, on the other side of the island. Home to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, the fishing village is quieter than Bar Harbor. Thus, it is ideal for those seeking a relaxed and serene vacation.
