This was a $50 hotel charging $200. Dirty, old, smelly, small and does not clean or change towels for 3 days. Carpet and bathroom floors were wet and gross. Would not recommend at all.

For the type of properties around this area, the Days Inn is adequate but it shows its age and there is an overall lack of frills. The room space is good yet furniture condition could be better. I mean this is not a place you want to hang out in, just sleep and hit the town, water. Staff was always friendly. Not many food options around the hotel but it is a 1-2 miles drive to more options in town.

Moist stay by the bay..

I understand it is tourist season,but the price we paid was outrageous for the quality. Room carpet was moist, room was damp and smelly. Tv and overloaded wall outlets didn't work. No parking was available and we had to park in another hotel lot-this was not advertised. We also had roaches on the ceiling! It is obvious they don't want repeat business...

Its your basic hotel, but it was clean easy access to everything. Breakfast was your basic continental breakfast and you have a view of the water across the street if you sit in the parking lot in the chairs outside your room. Its a basic outside entrance only hotel.

The staff was kind and welcoming but there were several issues with the booking including difficulty inputting correct data (credit card, etc). and the room smelled...not in an unclean way, but in a dated, damp kind of way.

Good location to park and friendly staff

Stayed here for three nights while exploring the area with my spouse’s parents. This is a solid place to stay if you want a place to stay close to Acadia but not deal with the downtown Bar Harbor traffic and parking and pricing. Also if you don’t want to venture out for breakfast you have the minimal options here included but something to tie you over until you grab some lobster. Also the coffee wasn’t that bad as they had a machine. Some older/outdated decor but it was clean and was a good place to stay. And the staff were friendly!
Bathroom - plenty of counter space to ge ready in the morning
Main room with a little sliver of view of the bay to remind you that you are on the coast.

Excellent location to easily access Acadia and Bar Harbor. We rode our bikes into Bar Harbor for dinner every evening. The staff is wonderful and our room very comfortable.

The property was a decent value for the price. It has really seen better days. The room was clean and it looks like they have updated the beds and bedding recently. Breakfast really needs some help. Its prepackaged crustables, one type of muffin and plain bagels. Coffee, Tea or juice, (juice was like water) a thing of hot oat meal, one type of microwavable breakfast sandwich and some cereal. The rooms have a tiny refrigerator and no microwave. It was 80 degrees one day and the AC unit just could not keep up. Staff was friendly and you do get a view of the ocean even it it's just the ferry terminal in front of you. The location is just over mile from the edge of downtown Bar Harbor so not quite close enough to easily walk to things. The hotel sits right on the road with lots of road noise all night long.

Pretty standard fare you can expect from a budget hotel, the view outside the door was amazing. The mini fridge did not work, no housekeeping for 3 nights, 4 days, and maybe they can add sliced bread into the breakfast menu, otherwise the stay was pretty uneventful.
