Nice place, staff helpful and courteous, but lactation wonderful!

Great views from room and very comfortable stay. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Bar Harbor/Acadia area

Very clean hotel on ocean front. Professional staff. Beautiful views, close to Bar Harbor. Beautiful grounds, nice areas to walk around hotel

I've never written a bad review before - feels awkward to do so, I'll give this hotel a 3 out of 5. Lovely location with amazing views and landscaping - however the rooms are disappointing. Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed by the musty chemical smell and the AC noise. We immediately turned off the AC and opened the sliding glass door for fresh air. The beds were hard, the pillows overused and need replacing and we did not want to risk walking barefoot on the carpet. The glasses provided were plastic cups you would expect from a Motel 6 - not a hotel room that cost over $250 per night!

Room was very nice with a balcony and on the water. Room was very clean and linens and towels are nice

It was a good hotel with a great view. The hotel was a little dated, but was well up kept.

Great views and very convenient! Good and clean rooms

Love the place! Staff friendly and welcoming! Dinner in the hotel Bistro was awesome! The next morning Breakfast was Great to with made to order eggs! At check out, we were given gifts. We just appreciated the place and experience! Had a great time!

It is huge hotel with older rooms and more recent ones. I would recommend to ask for the newer section, as our room was nice but in the older building.

we enjoy this hotel. We arrived at dark and got into room could not tell a lot about the property or what our view was.. We were to have ocean view.. But WOW when you wake up in morning and open the blinds to a spectacular view..

I accidentally dropped my phone down the elevator shaft, and after asking the assistant manager to look into retrieving it, they were so accomadating and were able to find it within a few hours. I am so appreciative of the cooperative and kind staff!

The hotel is dated, but clean. I would have given it a better rating if the staff had a personality or were nice. We understand that checkin time is 3 pm and checkout is 11 am. However, we all know that those times typically include a cushion so people can check in early or checkout a little late. We arrived at 2:48, and were told room wasn't available until 3. We weren't given any nicities by the clerk, who basically said "come back later." Our checkout was likewise inflexible. We asked for a slightly later checkout - 11:30 or even 12. I have never been to a hotel that can't turnover a room in 3 hours and I've never been told a slightly later checkout wouldn't be allowed. To my surprise, I was flatly told "no. The room must be ready at 3." Big disappointment. The location isn't great either, as it about 1-11/2 miles from town. Would never recommend.

Our family had a wonderful time, we stayed in a family suite (we have 4 kids), the accommodations were wonderful for our family, plenty of room.

Very nice place to stay, the restaurant was great.

We recently spent 6 nights at the Atlantic Oceanside and we were very happy with our stay. We had a kitchenette suite in the Maine building. We originally had purchased an oceanfront room and they had assigned a room in a building without an elevator. We asked to change our room and they placed us in the Maine building in a room with a kitchenette that overlooked the ocean. This building has an elevator and we appreciated their efforts to accommodate our needs. We were also happy to find out that the breakfast area was in our building so we did not have to walk from one of the other buildings to get there. The breakfast was adequate, but they did not offer complimentary hot items. The breakfast was plentiful with fruits, cereal, yogurt, pastries, breads and muffins and if you wanted a hot breakfast, it was available for a charge off the menu. Perhaps our only minor complaint was that the refrigerator was quite noisy and we could hear it even though we wore earplugs to bed. The location is very convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia and the Island Explorer bus picks up and drops off close by. Also, a sightseeing boat tour departs from the pier in front of the hotel. Overall we were very pleased and would stay here again.

Was glad we chose to stay off the main traffic area. Was a beautiful location and totally relaxing. The bistro could use longer hours.

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor. Although it is not within easy walking distance of downtown it is only about a 2-3 minute drive. However, this means it is also a little closer to Acadia then the downtown hotels. Basically this hotel is within 2-3 minutes of everything you want to see in Bar Harbor. Amazing view of the ocean from a good size balcony and plenty of parking. Hotel food was good, comp breakfast had plenty of options. Added bonus it is dog friendly like much of Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat. Park. We are more then comfortable staying here next time we travel to Bar Harbor.

We had a great view from our room, the heated pool an hot tub were close, and the room was great. My only complaint would be that the continental breakfast was lacking (e.g. no eggs or bacon).

Great location near Acadia Park entrance with views of the ocean. Easy access to Bar Harbor town a couple of miles down road. Good complementary breakfast and accomodating staff, additional ala carte menu.
