We stayed across from the main hotel. We had to walk across the facility to get coffee and a muffin. They should have a coffee station in Coveside as well. Over all, it was a charming place.

Beautiful hotel. Beautifully decorated, close to town. Loved all the common areas for sitting and enjoying the views. Staff was lovely. We were given a room across the hall from the bar which was super loud and just not an ideal location. Other than that we loved our stay.

The hotel offers beautiful views off the beaten path. Unfortunately the staff wasn’t very helpful and the property seemed to cater to the large tour buses.

Upon arrival our check-in experience was sub-par. Person working the desk was extremely slow and unfriendly, no welcome or hotel info provided, not even WiFi access info. Room had not been properly cleaned or vacuumed as evidenced by stepping on a contact lens and finding a dirty tissue beside my bed. No internet access the entire duration of our stay, 3 days. That meant no tv as it needed internet access. These items were reported to the front desk each day of our stay and were never fixed. We were never offered an apology or explanation. I had to call the front desk the 2nd day to request refill pods for the coffee service and clean towels. I asked that the GM be notified of these issues and received no follow-up. This could be a lovely property but no one seems to care about hospitality or the customer experience. I was incredibly disappointed as I had been very excited to stay here. There are nicer hotels in the area, don’t waste your money here.

While the location and the grounds of the Colony are impressive, the room we stayed in and the service were quite unimpressive. The very old, stained carpet in the room (as well as in the elevator), the squeaky floors, and the lack of even a bottle of water in the room (not to speak about a coffee/tea machine) gave us a bleak, unwelcome feeling.  Regarding service: by noontime on the second day, our room was not yet made. We alerted the front desk, and they promised it would get done later in the afternoon. We returned to the room close to 5 pm, and the room was still not cleaned. When we asked the front desk about it, they told us that the cleaning team had already left for the day. Only after we insisted did we find the room rearranged on our return at 8 pm.  And all this for a room of over $500 a night. Highly disappointing—will not return and will not recommend the Colony Hotel.

The room was not clean. There was food on the floor and dust piled in the corners of the room. The bed was so uncomfortable. Didn’t know we were staying in a place that had no AC and no TVs in the rooms. The property looked a little ran down. Weddings on site took away from the experience and was noisy up to 12 am in the morning. For the $600 a night cost I would never stay here again

The rooms in the courtyard building were very modern, sleek, beautifully decorared in a beachy theme. The views of the ocean were beautiful, especially at sunset. Very convenient to town.

The Colony Hotel is in an enviable position on Ocean Drive and on entering the hotel we were struck by the imposing reception area and beautiful sea view from there. Our room was beautifully decorated and we appreciated the fact that we had free parking and that we could walk into town. However, we felt that the hotel is totally reliant on the beautiful building and location for business and does not appear to be particularly concerned with customer experience. The sheet on our bed was torn and despite mentioning to housekeeping was not changed. After much discussion we were offered a free breakfast which we accepted. The bath had a constant drip and the bath was stained as a result and we found hair in the bath that was clearly neither of ours for the duration of our stay. We also felt that the lack of tea/coffee making facilities was poor. To add insult to injury, when we checked out they attempted to charge us for 2 evening meals that had been incorrectly assigned to our room and which took an inordinate amount of time to sort out. We had thought that staying at The Colony would be the highlight of our trip but were left feeling totally underwhelmed. We will not be recommending The Colony to our friends.

The Colony Hotel was so beautiful, and the seacoast location could have not been any prettier. We truly enjoyed this relaxing hotel. We walked to the church and on Ocean Avenue to see the gorgeous homes & Walker's Point. The lobby had ice cold water available after our walk. The breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed the beach & pool.
