We stayed Saturday night and our experience was perfect. Chris helped us settle in and explain how the inn works, and showed us to our room, and also gave us some info on places to go, eat, etc. We walked downtown and explored and had a blast, and our room was also nice and easy, and very clean! Chris also cooked a lovely breakfast in the morning, and it’s been a while since I’ve woken up to the smell of bacon, so this was a treat!
My sister and I stayed in the Dory and Shooner rooms on the 2nd floor September 10 & 11, 2019. We were greeted by the innkeepers daughter who was smart and delightful. She was well schooled and gave us the tour as well as showing us the map of town and a few tips on places to eat. Christopher filled in a few gaps and that made a great welcoming team. The rooms were connected by a door but I was surprised to find the bathroom out in the hall. I realize that was our bathroom only because all other rooms had en-suite baths. However I get up many times during the night and felt awkward going out where other guests might be coming/ going. The bedding was awesome!! The breakfast was remarkable, worth the price of admission. I would book again and get a room with en-suite bath.
If your looking for a Hampton Inn, this is not for you. It’s an older place, it’s obvious the innkeeper has worked hard at making it a nice place to stay. We found it to be clean and contained just about everything you could want at a hotel. We were on the 2nd floor so if steps are a problem you better check, there might be one room on the first level. There is ample parking and you can walk to the center of town in about 10 minutes. There is a seating area downstairs with a large screen TV if you’re so inclined and the WiFi worked fine. Getting back to breakfast- it was wonderful. Chris sets a nice table and smothered us with delicious food. Our menu consisted of orange juice(not watered down) coffee, fresh fruit, french toast, bacon, quiche, and a wonderful blueberry cheesecake. You definitely do not need lunch after that.
Great place, super convenient walking distance to the town center. Our room was spacious. The house is very tastefully set up to show its history while being accomodating. The breakfast is everything you’ve read - delicious, and served family style so that you get to meet other guests (8 max). A great place. Chris takes good care of you.
Only the Two Bedroom Second Floor Suite has the following short fall "Two connected bedrooms, each air conditioned with a queen-sized bed, sharing an en suite private bathroom." Above quoted from web site discription, but not so true with the following short falls the Bathroom is not with in the bedroom spaces and can be shared with anyone staying on second floor is not private as stated above. The Plug and Lights kept blowing circuit breaker with just the provided hair dryer running Only one bedroom had portable AC unit which did not function well with Condenser unit exhaust tube that vents out window kept falling off. The other Bedroom only had a fan not another AC unit so again not what was promised in web discription of room. The breakfast provided was excellant! Just wish he was more understanding and or concerned for what his customers needs were.
We had a very nice time at the B/B. We are a young couple and enjoyed the breakfast and location. Rooms were well kept and clean. Would definitely recommend to other travelers and would consider staying here again in the future.
We stayed two nights in the old parsonage guest house which was build in 1857 The guest house was amazing and we were well taken care of by Chris and the breakfasts were lovely. Kennebunkport is a lovely place to stay for our first ever visit to Maine.
It’s an older house. A little different then what were used to staying in but it was nice and cozy. Very clean. When we arrived we were greeted by his young daughter who gave us a tour which was very nice. He did cook an amazing breakfast which in itself is worth the stay. Also walking distance from downtown. Only issue was our bedroom door did not lock. I would recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at the guest home. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful with our stay. He had suggestions for the area. He assisted us with a parking at a local beach. Breakfast was delicious.
Great host, bed is comfortable, rooms are clean, price is right, location is convenient, breakfast-sublime. The Old Parsonage should be booked every night of the year, so if you can find an open room book it! If you are looking for ostentaciousness and arrogance, there are other places in town. You won't find that here. Instead, Chris is down-to-earth, humble, and easy to talk to. When we come back, we won't look anywhere else.
