Overall very nice place but expensive for what it is. The room itself was nice but small for the price, nothing “special” Restaurant and bar is similar.. good, but very pricey for nothing outstanding. Enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t return

Fantastic Food ! beautiful beach.. old school Maine vacation. Cozy. Love the coffee nook in between the 2nd and 3rd floors. Fifteen minutes from a wonderful shopping area. Lots of space in the area for walking and riding bikes (which The Tides provides.) Fireplace, morning paper, coffee on the large front porch. Very relaxing.

The staff at the Inn went out of their way to make our 40th anniversary stay a memorable one. I love that the beach is across the road, that bikes were available, and that we were given a complementary bar drink for our anniversary. I highly recommend staying there.

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Tides Inn. We had a very nice room that was super clean and well maintained. The bed and bedding were so luxurious we just fell into dream land at night, the sound of the waves was an added plus. Staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The bar and restaurant were fab, hats off to Ben for serving up my best drink in all of Kennebunkport. The food was great and prices what you would expect in the area. We took advantage of the shuttle to their sister property for some laps in the pool, some time in the spa for Her Magnificence and an awesome meal in the gorgeous woodland themed dining room Will return on our next trip to the area.

This an amazing little gem. We really enjoyed our family vacation here. The rooms are slightly dated but overall an amazing experience. The staff was extremely atttentive and friendly. The location can’t be beat.

The hotel is lovely and on a fantastic beach. In all respects it’s great with one exception; The prices for food is too high for what’s on offer. Seems like a captive market as there is nowhere else near by.

What draws us here is the wonderful sand can walk for hours..the sand is like powder, hard pack by the shore line. Our lovely room had a balcony where you could sit and look at the beach and watch all the families playing. We had wonderful breakfasts. Lunchs and diners dinner there is lovely candle light everywhere ..I can't wait to go back !

The beach location is fantastic, the service is top notch, but the accommodations were dreadful. I expected the room to be on the small side, but it was just shabby. The wall paper is peeling, the paint is chipped, there were four inches of old water in the ice bucket. It is not at all what I expected. There was a problem with the air conditioning when we arrived (didn't work), they said they would do something manually from the office, still didn't work. Complained again the next day, said that the someone was coming to fix it that day. They ended up again controlling it from down stairs and it was freezing (we had all the blankets on and still cold), complained again and they just couldn't get it right. We were there for three nights without a restful night. As I said, the staff at the desk tried their best, but I think with options in the area, we probabl won't go back. Unfortunate because the beach was beautiful, great food, drinks on the porch. We were there for a special birthday celebration and It was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, it just didn't live up to expectations.

I love this Inn. It was our first stay here. We had a corner room with a direct view of the beach as well as a side view looking down the beach. The room was well appointed. As was noted in other reviews the room did not have a closet, but instead an armoire dresser. It worked for us. There was shelving in the bathroom and hooks by the door so we had no problem with storage. We loved the convenience of the beach and all the amenities that were available there. One day we went to Hidden Pond to enjoy the pool, have lunch, and go to the spa. We liked the convenience of having the shuttle between the properties and the supper shuttle that was available each day to get to town or to some other restaurants. The Restaurant at the Tides was very good and we enjoyed happy hour and snacks at the bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next visit.

We were not lucky enough to be able to stay here over 4th of July weekend because-of course-they were booked. We decided to go out and spend some time on the porch during "Happy Hour". We had yummy eats and a great view of the ocean. We also had a terrific young waiter you was very nice to talk about life with.
