We made a reservation here for the last night of our vacation..called earlier that day. Upon arriving in our room, we noted that the beds were never changed. We told the front desk person, who put us in the room next door. In that room, the toilet did not flush, and the toilet seat was broken..hanging halfway off of the base. We of course chose not to stay, and because all the other places in the area were filled by that time, we were forced to drive home a day early, even though we were very tired, and looking forward to a good night's rest. Terrible end to an otherwise wonderful weekend. We have never, ever had to actually leave a place we had made a reservation at because it was so poor, and hopefully never will.
First and last place was very durty, the pictures on the web aren't reflecting the place need love very old place. The continental breakfast was ok, not very good location for the beach, not walking distance for downtown, the inside pool was close for renovation nobody advised us. Never never go back there, not a fancy resort.
First, the staff was tremendously helpful and friendly. And I can overlook a lot of things with good service. The pool bar and outside restaurant for dinner was perfect. Casual, relaxing, good food and a very budget friendly price. The overall building needs updates though. While looking for a toy my daughter had dropped under the bed, we found a plethora of items that didn't belong including a moldy cheese ball. The stairwells needed vacuuming as well. The indoor pool, one of the main reasons we booked, was out of service due to a floor replacement (though I don't hold that against them, at least there was a renovation). The room decor could also use some updating, along with new light bulbs. And adding USB ports for charging phones and devices would be excellent. I would stay again, based on how nice the service was and the overall relaxing atmosphere, but it would be lovely to see some updates.
Awesome place to stay in Kennebunkport, ME Staff of friendly and grounds are kept up nice. It doesn't feel like you are in a hotel when you pull up. With 2 pools and 2 hot tubs not to mention the on premise restaurant with food options for the whole family.
Great location- pretty much around the corner fr the Bush estate (can't really walk on the roads tho). Yes, this isn't a fancy "resort" and it could use some updating in places, but you can't beat the location, affordability, and amenities. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, very affordable outdoor bar & grill (don't think there's room service, but you could get food for pick up). This would be a great location for a large family gathering- really big lawns with Adirondack chairs, fire pit at night. Rooms are decent size with indoor entry and outdoor balconies or patios. Didn't have time for the breakfast.
Stayed there 3 nights. If you go with kids then this is the place for you. Indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool needs upgrading but I think some upgrades are scheduled for September. My major concern was the room. They need a major upgrade. And I mean that literally every part of the rooms need upgrading. The toilet must be like 50 years old. The room patio had nothing but peeling paint. The furniture looked as if it came out of one of the local antique store or a flea market. On the other hand the breakfasts are great and the facilities, besides the upgrades that are needed, are good. As long as no upgrades are done I would not recommend this place but then if you have kids it is a great place for them. I also did not appreciate the compulsory add on of $1.50 per day per person mainly because it is not mentioned anywhere except when you get to the room and there is a small notice on the desk. It is not the cost but the principle.
Not the Ritz but a perfect venue for a family gathering ....poolside rooms and a great grassy area for kids to play. The rooms were newly renovated but badly in need of new mattresses! Grill and bar were perfect for snacks and the lobster was delish! The staff was friendly (special mention to the hard working Melody :) and helpful and the breakfast room was adequate and well stocked. The coffee...well....I am a bit of a coffee snob so....enough said! :) we will definitely go back! :)
Rhumb Line resort is appreciated once you are settled in, swimming in the pool, eating a great grilled burger, homemade fries at a poolside picnic table. Get a drink and settle into the pool lounge chair, lots of families having a great time. At night the lights are sweet around the kidney shaped jacuzzi. Indoor pool was super hot air and refreshing water. The resort is not perfect and that is why we liked it, really nice people, great outdoor and indoor pool and jacuzzi. Fine continental breakfast. Nice bed linens, beds. So me cleanliness issues but with all of the water, people running in and out its understandable. Outdoor Bar open alll of the time we were there on weekend. Lobster bakes on site.
We stayed from July 3-4th and booked last minute. This was one of the less expensive hotels in the area that included breakfast. Our beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and it was quiet. Breakfast could use more options as others said, but there was plenty of seating and for the price, I really can't complain.
I stayed at the Rhumbline for 4 nights from the 13th of December to the 17th. It was great. The room was clean and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows are outstanding. The Breakfast was just enough to start the day. The indoor pool and hot tub is also very nice on a cold day.
