Christmas shopping @ Arundel Mills this year proved to be a nightmare in terms of my hotel stay. Towneplace offered a $102.00 rate; 30 + dollars less than where I usually stay. When I went to get in the shower there was feces on the side of the tub. The housekeeping supervisor said she had checked the room herself. When they offered us another room in the hotel, of course we turned it down, because that was another room she should have checked. Management was notified in person and in writing. No response thus far, but I contacted the health dept. for the county.
The location was superb both for BWI airport and the Arundel Mill mall, which had Maryland Live Casino, Medieval Times Tournament and a host of other outlet stores. A big outdoor retail store is directly in front of the hotel across the parking lot. Parking is free and it is a big plus. The hotel has a free shuttle to the mall and BWI airport and it operates 24/7. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was prompt. The front desk staff were pretty friendly and greeted us warmly. The hotel is connected to I-295 and pretty close to I-95. So, if you have a car, it will be easy to travel around and Baltimore City is probably a 15 minute drive without traffic and a visit to the inner harbor would be convenient. There are many restaurants in the mall close to the hotel. The free shuttle helps to get to them. Maryland Live Casino is also serviced by the shuttle. The Casino has some good Asian and other cuisine restaurants. One can connect to Amtrak and other train options by taking the shuttle to BWI airport. A grill is present outside for cooking out during summer and free breakfast is offered.
We stayed over during our return from South Carolina. The traffic on I95 was insane. The 2 bedroom suites are very nice and enough space. We had a dog, so you only can stay in certain room. The room smelled so much with perfume, that is was unbearable. We left for dinner, but when we returned the smell was still there. I hope management will change that. When we returned home, our dog had fleas, resulting she brought it back home. We needed to spray the house and dog several times. Finally all gone. My suggestion to the management, you have a great hotel, maybe you should spray a few times throughout the year to avoid fleas and similar. Especially since we intent to be back next year.
This hotel is clean, and seems either recently renovated or new. The room is small, but cozy. It made us felt like we were in a home, rather than a hotel. Kitchen and bathroom counter tops are all granite finishes with, stainless steel kitchen appliances. It comes with everything you would find at home, as it is a suite. Hot complimentary breakfast is served daily. The location is right in the same place as the Arundel Mall, and Casino Live. All in walking distance. We did not want to stay at the Inner Harbor hotels, because most of them have a parking fee. However, we drove there, which is just 20 minutes away. There was a Sea Food Festival at the Waterfront Promenade. Additionally, this hotel is only minutes away from the airport and Camden Yards.
This is a comfortable, spacious, economical option for staying near Arundel Mills mall and Hollywood Live! Casino. It's not luxurious, but it's stylish and definitely comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
This was a convenient location for our trip and we had 2-bedroom suit with extra sofa. It is a bit cheaper then Residence Inn by Marriott, but you do notice the difference big time! The place is quite frail around the edges and I fully endorse some of the photos with dirty bathrooms and towels - it might as well been taken in my room! Cleaning is a rarity, you have to beg for your bins to be taken out and for a couple of fresh towels and toilet rolls to be brought... I don't even hope for a fresh bed linen - after a few days stay the room looks like a teenager's den... (we're no longer in about teens :-) ) I do appreciate that the Marriott markets this place "for longer stays" but I did not appreciate it means for longer stays without cleaning - as it costs far more then a weekly rent of an apartment with self catering and self-cleaning. Some of the staff is actually very sweet and accommodating while others just can't be bothered... I would not recommend this place for poor value for money, untidiness and nose from the major motorway - either pay a bit extra for Residence Inn accommodation, or just find a weekly apartment rent - you'll be better off either way.
It is a nice place and at a walking distance from Arundel Mills mall. The rooms have kitchenettes and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is served hot. Its my second stay here and I like it. Kitchen and bathroom have granite counter tops. There is plenty of parking at this hotel. Few things I didnt like. 1. The room keys given work on and off so you have to go back to counter to get them reprogrammed. 2. The bath tub sits higher than a usual one and once yous step out of shower, you can slip or lose balance. 3. TV has netflix and you will get tired of "please wait" screen. 4. The guest internet is way too slow.
Stayed here for 11 nights. The full kitchen with almost all the cook wares were very helpful. Also has all the dish/plates/bowls/utensil. The room were designed efficiently, bathroom shower hot water comes in seconds, great shower pressure and consistent. Love the Paul Mitchell soap, shampoo&conditioner. Breakfast has eggs, sausage, turkey patty, pastries, oatmeal, yougart, fruits, waffles. Got bacon once during 11 nights stay. Tuesday evening has free dinner, we had a kabob food truck serving the meal, lamb sharwama was very good. The mall is walkable across street. Costco and Walmart, Safeway are on the mall circle, very easy to get to. Free shuttle within 5 miles. We took the shuttle to MARC station and took train to DC union station. Washer/dryer on site for $1 per load. Front desk is very helpful and responsive.
We had a great stay. The room was nice. It had a regular size refrigerator and top burners to use. Its located across from Arundel Mill mall. Breakfast was better than i thought. I would definitely come back next year.
All around great place to stay. Clean. Great location. Friendly and fast check in. Shuttle driver was nice. Breakfast was awesome (different entries both mornings) with several healthy options! No complaints.
