Stayed twice on two different weeks. Hotel is only one in area with two separate bedrooms. Each has a queen bed and flat screen TV. Rooms also have a living area with pull out sofa, TV, and full kitchen, with utensils. TV's have Netflix and Hulu if you have an account. Hotel states free Wi-Fi , however if you need high speed internet it's only five dollars extra. Hotel and room were clean. Hotel located across from a Mall and near numerous restaurants and a casino. Rooms in front of hotel are quieter due to rear facing a highway but not overly loud. Hotel offers free breakfast , however it was the same on both occasions, fried eggs, sausage, waffle maker, assorted cereals. Only interaction with staff was with Melanie who went above and beyond to be helpful to us. Only 10 to 15 minutes to Baltimore airport. All in all pretty good value.
Melanie, at front desk was wonderful. Really everyone I came across at hotel was friendly, helpful, and had smiles. This is a hotel that makes you feel at home Room was clean and well stock. My husband and grandson loved the hotel and staff
The staff here make the difference - whether front-of-house or housekeeping, they all had a great approach to customer service that was clear to see. My room, and common areas such as the breakfast dining room/ lounge, were all very well maintained, and staff were very helpful and obliging.
The rooms in this hotel are very quiet. I only heard the doors immediately next to me, not every door in the hallway like at some hotels. I had a 2 bedroom suite and it was very nice. Full fridge, microwave, stove, oven, dining table, couch, and chair in the living space. Both rooms had their own temperature control which was awesome. They also had comfortable beds and usable closets. I'll definitely stay here again.
The TownePlace Suites was nearly full, but there was plenty of parking when I checked in late that evening. Check-In was a breeze. The front desk associate was very friendly and thoughtful. Everything in my suite looked practically brand new. The kitchen appliances, countertops, and dishes were clean and shiny. The bed was comfortable and well made. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Before I pulled the curtains closed, I could see the landing lights of numerous airplanes through my window. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was very quiet. I got a good nights sleep and felt rested the next morning.
I was greeted at check-in with an awesome and free “upgrade” from the king bed I reserved to a two bedroom suite! I was traveling by myself on business. I didn’t need two bedrooms, but it was the only room left. I’m not sensitive to smells, but the room smelled like a perfume store. I’m not exaggerating. It was overwhelming. Fifteen minutes in there gave me a headache. An hour made me nauseated. No more rooms available? Oh well! Want a free snack or soda to compensate? No? Ok sleep tight! The front desk told me it's sprayed on purpose by housekeeping, and there was nothing they could do. Hard beds. Hard furniture. Awful smell. Get out.
Stayed here and service was great room was a standard one bedroom with a kitchen and appliances Generally quiet Had a 4th floor room and no large amounts of noise either above, below or alongside will stay here again when in the area.
If you can get a good rate here this is a good hotel. Good location and easy parking. Rooms actually have windows you can open which I find to be a nice feature. Nice layout of room and walking distance to mall / casino (though not as pedestrian friendly as I would have liked- not the hotels fault). My only complaint is that I think there must have been a cat in my room from a previous guest because my allergies were terrible and about the only thing that gets me that way is a cat. I think it is a pet friendly hotel so I guess that one is on me.
Christmas shopping @ Arundel Mills this year proved to be a nightmare in terms of my hotel stay. Towneplace offered a $102.00 rate; 30 + dollars less than where I usually stay. When I went to get in the shower there was feces on the side of the tub. The housekeeping supervisor said she had checked the room herself. When they offered us another room in the hotel, of course we turned it down, because that was another room she should have checked. Management was notified in person and in writing. No response thus far, but I contacted the health dept. for the county.
The location was superb both for BWI airport and the Arundel Mill mall, which had Maryland Live Casino, Medieval Times Tournament and a host of other outlet stores. A big outdoor retail store is directly in front of the hotel across the parking lot. Parking is free and it is a big plus. The hotel has a free shuttle to the mall and BWI airport and it operates 24/7. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was prompt. The front desk staff were pretty friendly and greeted us warmly. The hotel is connected to I-295 and pretty close to I-95. So, if you have a car, it will be easy to travel around and Baltimore City is probably a 15 minute drive without traffic and a visit to the inner harbor would be convenient. There are many restaurants in the mall close to the hotel. The free shuttle helps to get to them. Maryland Live Casino is also serviced by the shuttle. The Casino has some good Asian and other cuisine restaurants. One can connect to Amtrak and other train options by taking the shuttle to BWI airport. A grill is present outside for cooking out during summer and free breakfast is offered.
