This place is easy if you are staying in Auckland only for one night on transfer ; it avoids you to look for accomodation downtown; there are many other places like that around Auckland Airport. This one is quite basic but the pick up service is efficient.

Well were do I even start with this place - After our flight from Akl-Wlg was cancelled and we had to find accommodation fast & we didn't get to read the reviews before booking (myself & work colleagues). We wanted somewhere close to the Airport as we were re-booked on the 7.30am flight in the morning. The first thing was the welcome/service when we arrived - absolutely appalling - considering we just spent $900 for 6 rooms with them - just seemed like a big hassle not only that one room wasn't allocated (myself) so she just put me in a room that was upstairs above a dorm room (which had 10 18 year old boys in it who were so noisy you could hear them before you even got to the room). When I got to the room I didn't get a chance to look over it as we quickly went to dinner (which was another mistake too). When I got back I had a look around it just kept getting worse, everything felt wet - the noise from the road traffic (plus shaking when a truck/bigger car went by) as there was no seal on the windows the curtains hardly closed or covered anything, stains all over the ground, and exit sign (because it was upstairs) was so bright it was like sleeping with the light on), the room was freezing and everything just felt dirty (dust and mold etc). Eventually found a heater which warmed up a bit, every time you walked the ground would squeak and the worst of all of this whole room was the bathroom (see photo) was absolutely disgusting I couldn't even shower in it. I think this room was hardly used for guests as I found my colleagues had rooms that were a bit better & away from the road but still not up to scratch or worth the money.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was adequate, reasonably clean. Bathroom and shower leave a bit to desired, mouldy ceiling in bathroom. I understand the motel is being renovated, but doesn't appear to be a price difference between the non-renovated roo s and the renovated rooms. Close proximity to the airport and free airport shuttle is a plus though.

We stayed here for one night as a transit out from New Zealand. Sadly we hardly slept as the place was noisy with loud laughter and talking from a group till the very early hours of the morning. The room also had a wet damp smell coupled will a smell of cigarette smoke. On the plus side we we provided with excellent transfers to and from the motel.

Stayed April 2017. It was awful, disgusting and not a very nice place at all. The shower was full of mould and the toilet door had a very big hole, the towels did not feel very clean. I would usually just say ooh its just a bed for the night as I was flying out early the next morning but it doesnt even deserve that. I left hours earlier to the airport as the people next door came in the middle of night and made a racket of a noise.

0/10. Do not stay! We had pre booked for 1 night only (thankfully) and paid $150 for a really ordinary, run down room. When we entered reception, the first thing I noticed was the huge, grose stains on the customer seats. I thought that ifthis was the amount of effort they put into appearances, what will the room be like!! The lady at reception has a non approachable persona. The room was one of the worst we've stayed in. The newish, cheap shower had no soap holder, the vanity basin is so large that it left no room for anything else. The "wardobe" had no hanging rail in it and the bed quilt had already been removed prior to us arriving and left on the floor of the wardobe. Basic amenities, no microwave, 1 kettle and typical tea bags and coffee. Carpet felt...sticky under foot and the walls are so thin that we could hear the lady next door arguing. We slept with our t-shirts over the pillows as we decided the whole experience was pretty dodgy. Glad to get up early the next day and leave. Stay elsewhere. I have read all the negative reviews and think we got away pretty well. Would never go back.

We booked a room four months in advance for the Adele concert at Mt Smart Stadium and paid $300 for one night. ( It was a 15 minute drive to the stadium which was fine.) The inn is located opposite a large cemetery and is very utilitarian in appearance, The room was spacious but everything was just a bit tired looking and there were some parts which needed a thoroughly good clean, eg the shower, tiles, window ledges, corners. The beds were firm / comfortable.

Good location but not a place I would recommend as felt grimmy. Curtains old and did not shut out the light. Curtains falling off rails. Windows were missing handles. The place was very noisy with paper thin walls. Well over priced. I will not be staying there again .

We have stayed at Silver Oaks Inn a couple of times in the past, importantly knew where to go & how to get there! What a pleasant surprise, Now under new management the place has been refurbished to a very good standard. Staff a pleasure to deal with from booking to our visit. As before, we were able to leave our car there during our absence, they kindly took us to the airport where we got the Sky bus into the City in order to board a ship. On our return we flew into Auckland, & they again provided an excellent service,We again stayed the night there,so we could drive home refreshed.

An Australian colleague booked this thinking that 3* in NZ was the same as international star ratings. The shower was mouldy and two of the internal doors had large holes in them, one of which had been patched with magazine covers! There is no excuse for this as internal doors cost $49.50 each from Bunnings or Mitre 10 stores. This is taking penny pinching too far.
