There was mold in the grout in the bathroom Poor plastering in bathroom. A fixture was missing above the mirror and a piece of metal was placed over the opening that only partially covered the outlet

Great location. Really good breakfast. Clean comfortable friendly

NOT FOR CLAUSTROPHOBICS.The rooms were so small that I needed a pry bar to wedge a suitcase between the bed and the wall. After entering the room anything from getting up to go potty to attempting to to go somewhere required some management skills in spacial relationships, a basic course in rock climbing, spelunking experience and high jump skills.Upon entering the room the first time, I felt anxiety and expected to see a Hobbit pop out of the corner, knowing that it would be impossible for an average sized person to inhabit such a tiny space. There was a tiny little man with a tiny little house and a tiny little wife had he! I guess that Micro-living is the next fashion.

The staff was friendly and the lodge was clean. It looked to have a few recent updates but they appeared to be done on a budget and weren’t in keeping with the look of a lodge.

The location is decent, but that’s about it. The walls are thin enough that when your drunken neighbors stroll in at 3 am, you will wake up thinking they’re opening your door and then hear everything. Bathroom noises, conversations, bed squeaks- everything. It’s great when it happens every night of your stay, and when you try to call the front desk or go down to complain because the drunken party is going on for over an hour no one is there. The room itself wasn’t horrible. Pretty standard. Shower was ok. Pool was a tiny blip that was no larger than a blow-up kiddie pool filled with warm pee water that’s been kept in the sun too long and despite several washes my suit still smells like the overabundance of chlorine they put in. Better than pee, I guess. But it was uncomfortably warm. Gym was an older treadmill that looks like it’s seen better days. Possibly my biggest complaint was on the day of check-out, being cornered by who I’m assuming was their manager, yelling at me for making noise on the elevator when all I did was pull their rickety luggage cart onto an elevator that is far too small. He blocked my way to my room and wouldn’t let me by so I could grab my stuff and check out. Still not sure what was going on here when our party was quiet and respectful. Overall, we booked this thinking we’d get a slightly more quality stay than one of the $60 roadside motels, but no dice. The pics are nice here but save yourself a few bucks and stay there instead.

The staff was very friendly check in and check out was fast.

Location and easy to get to from interstate highway.

We were disappointed with this hotel. The staff were all very nice and helpful. When we arrived check in was easy and quick. The breakfast was decent and had a good selection. Location was good. About 10 mins out from downtown, 5 from Biltmore Village. They sell snacks and drinks and I believe wine/beer near the front desk. However, when we arrived at 4PM there were several people folding towels in the middle of the dining room. Then we get to the room and notice several issues with it. The biggest was the hot water handle for the soaker tub was completely broken off. It was a challenge to turn the water on and off. The fans in the bathroom and over the soaker tub did not work at all (which I think would be a priority with a room with a big tub in the middle of it to get proper ventilation). I found several hairs still on the shower. There were several holes in the window cover. It is obvious on the 4th floor there was significant water damage at some point. The granite in the shower had large water stains, the walls and ceilings had been repatched, bathroom light fixture was removed and not put back up. While this hotel staff truly were great, the facilities need some basic up keep and it could be a pretty awesome hotel. It does have potential.

Check in good, good breakfast; clean. Only issue was noise from room above. Sounded like there was a marathon going on at 5:30 am.

Staff was not the most friendly. Rooms are small. The facility was very clean though. I'd say the biggest improvement can be in the customer service skills of the associates. I asked for extra set of towels and I was questioned multiple times before being handed over the set. And when I went down to the front desk @ 6am...there was no one there to greet me and I waited around for 5 minutes.

Wood paneling floors inside rooms and in parts of the hallways can make it very difficult to sleep, especially if you're near the elevator. The noise of suitcases and cleaning carts clunking in and out of the elevator on is extremely loud.

The property location is both an advantage and disadvantage. It is located near a major highway which makes it convenient to get to where you want to go but the loud traffic noise starts at 6am..The windows to the lodge are thin so be prepared to be awakened at 6am with the noise of trucks, motorcycles, cars etc.. getting on & off of the highway. This is unavoidable no matter what room you are staying in.

close to asheville and great for the price, would stay here again

Good location excellent for price range. Staff was excellent.

Shows it’s age. Not much sound-proofing between rooms. Got woke up several times. Below average for $170/night.

Convenient for overnight stay close to Asheville's major highways.
