I have stayed at this hotel many times, for months. I work a lot of overtime and some days just don't feel like making my long drive home. Every time I've been here, everyone is professional, room service is fantastic, the front desk personnel are so nice (they call me by name now)...my favorite room is the King suite, which I normally choose, but every other room I've stayed in is excellent. Beds are comf, love the feather pillows, very clean. If I've needed something, they sent someone right away. One time my room phone didn't work and when I told the front desk, someone was at my room ten minutes later to fix it! I have other choices of hotels to stay at, but this Marriott is my chiice and a home away from home. One time I reserved a king studio and upon arrival, they upgraded me to the suite for the same rate as the king studio! Amazing. Like I said, the staff calls me by name now, "Mrs. Wade"....I feel safe, and after very long days, look forward to shutting the world out and rest here at this hotel. I would recommend it to everyone!

I get they were apparently full.. But despite gold status, and despite me booking about a week in advance and checking in the night before on the app, but they put me in a first floor room by the parking lot next to the exit door that people slammed all night to go have a smoke. Awful. App requests for extra foam pillows were ignored, instead replaced by 3 crappy feather pillows. Late check-out request (this has been a real issue since Marriott started making this "official" to match the SPG benefits) was ignored. I have NO IDEA why Marriott pushes the ability to make these requests in their commercials and on the app, because they are *always* ignored. Probably because there's zero direct feedback mechanism so the hotel staff just doesn't care. I don't want to sound like a primadonna here - Marriott advertises this as their major differentiator lately, and they email you a day in advance and forcibly ask you if you have any requests. So it's not like I'm going out of my way here to ask for something special. Heater in the room smelled like an old gym sock. The room itself was musty and stinky with some "interesting" stains on the bed skirt by the end table. Bed itself was stiff, unforgiving, and the mattress felt at home at a place that would charge hourly. Location is desolate other than the obvious proximity to an obvious location, the droll denizens of which (by looking at past reviews and knowing the DC area well) find getting a free bagel in the morning and being close to the interstate "nice". Doors slamming and chatter in the hallway starts at 5am, since the ex-military customers still don't realize that there's nothing benevolent at getting up at the crack of dawn and chortling in the hallway but that's the whole DC area - so not the hotel's fault. Upsides: Guys running the bar were friendly enough. That's about it. I don't know what Marriott is doing with Courtyard, but if I wanted to stay at a Motel 6 I would have booked it. Unfortunately their monopoly in certain locations is pushing quality quickly downhill.

I reviewed this hotel last year...the "Bistro" was new then and had a few kinks, but the room was nice, staff friendly... BUT this year, stayed again..."Bistro" has not improved. Marriott wanted to change Courtyards to more 'upscale', but in order to do that, you have to do more than SAY IT. The TV's that we needed the restaurant guy to help us with last year were completely nonfunctional this year. The ONE person running the Bistro...well, it was still one person. Did a nice job with what food she could get without needing a COOK, but, like last year...do they know you need SILVERWARE? Never mind, my husband got up and got some. The girl who checked us in was friendly, but good grief...I asked for an area map...not sure she knew where she was... THE ROOM...well, we had a terrible experience the night before at a roasting hot Courtyard in Florence, SC...so this hotel was really ice and cold and it was great...until we went to get into the shower the next morning. The showerhead was held in place by electrical tape. The light in the shower and the fan had NO SWITCH! (see pictures) So, the bathroom got all steamy, with water dripping down the door, off the fan, the light... I don't know what is going on with Marriott.

I stayed at this hotel as it provided me with a convenient middle point between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The hotel is almost right off of 295, so that was great for someone who is driving (like myself). Check in was a little long because there was only on agent at the time I checked in (around 10 pm) and she was responsible for checking people in plus ringing up customers' purchases from the Marketplace. I did not partake of the dining options, but I did use the whirlpool and pool as well as the computers (iMac, not a big fan) to print out a few things.

I've stayed here while working in the Ft. Meade area over the past few years and it has always provided me with good clean, comfortable, and friendly accommodations. Though it is an aging property and has had a lot of visitors it is still well maintained. The room rates are also pretty affordable and there are plenty of restaurants within ten minutes away. I look forward to staying here again in the future as it has been a consistent provider of quality accommodations in a clean and well maintained environment.

Stayed at room 312 king size bed quiet area. Bed is firm and a perfect place for a 1 night stay. It had everything I need. Room is clean. Mini fridge, coffee maker and did not see any safe in my room. There is a restaurant by the front desk for drinks and food/snacks, a lounge area. However, the pool was close for repair during my stay. Check in was fast and close to Fort Meade army base.

We stayed at this hotel while we attended the Women's March in Washington, DC. It was close to the BWI airport where we caught the MARC train into the city. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant and bar in the lobby was very good however they need more employees working there. Dinner and breakfasts where a long wait. Even to just get a cup of coffee took a good 10 minutes. All of the staff at the hotel and restaurant were great however.

First, before I address the bad points of my stay, let me talk about the good points of my stay. The room was very spacious, and very clean. There was plenty of room to put my clothes, and there were two closets. For business travelers who need space for business clothes, this hotel has all of the closet space you could need! However, in comparison to other Courtyard Marriotts I have stayed in, the lobby is extremely outdated, not modern. Also, considering the aforementioned closet space, there should be plenty of space to put extra blankets, right? No. I checked everywhere and there were no extra blankets. And when I called the front desk and housekeeping three times, I got no response, the phone just kept on ringing. Eventually they brought extra sheets, after a cold sleep. Overall, the stay was just okay. There were things that could be improved, but there were good parts of the stay.

Needed a room close to D.C. for women's march. Location not great, no food or fuel nearby. Pain to get back on highway. Room was clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly. Don't bother with food from Bistro, just reheated food with no taste. The quesadilla was just a tortilla with bland chicken and cheese, microwaved. French dip also bland. We didn't finish any food. Would have been nice to have microwave in room.

Stayed for 3 nights. Not up to the mark of other courtyard marriott properties I have stayed at. housekeeping was not professional, things not even picked up or cleaned properly on the first two nights, 3rd night was ok but shouldn't be a hit or miss based on which one of their staff cleaned. Location not great, not many restaurants nearby. Weird arrangement with the TV being on the side and facility confusion was average. Front desk service was also hit or miss depending on who. The guy on the 3rd day was good and professional but the ladies on the other 2 days, not so much. One thing that was good was the breakfast item that I ordered.
