The front desk clerk who checked us in was very polite and helpful. The other clerk who checked us out was personable as well. Staff is not the issue. The hotel is undergoing a much needed renovation. However, I'm not sure to what extent the reno will cover what is needed. The hotel, right now, could be described as "seedy." Lack of upkeep is apparent with dings and gouges in walls, worn carpeting, broken tile etc.There was no continental breakfast due to renovation. Our tv didn't work and the check in clerk quickly came in and replaced it with one that did. It was apparent the bathroom hadn't been well cleaned as there was something sticky (and visible) on the counter. The bed itself was the best part of the room-- comfortable, good duvet and sheets. The pillows were not good, however. There were only three of them and they were the size of the throw pillows on a couch. We've stayed here in the past during our trips to PA and it has just seemed to go downhill every time.

The bed in the room was comfortable and I was able to get decent rest. However, I arrived very late at night due to a flight delay, and the room I was assigned had issues with the charging outlet and the bed-side lights not working. I called the front desk, and the staff member checked the room and said someone would fix it the next day. I asked if I could be moved to another room, but was told the hotel was overbooked. Since it was already around 1:30 AM, I ended up fixing the issue myself by moving the bed, which was frustrating given how late it was. There were alternative outlets in the room, but they were far from the bed and not very convenient. As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom was in poor condition and had an unpleasant odor. The location is convenient and close to the highway, but if the hotel continues to be this busy, it would really benefit from renovating the bathrooms and addressing basic room maintenance issues.
