Great Location, nice staffs, but outdated and need remodeling.

This hotel is in an excellent location right next to Vondelpark. It is very close to a large variety of very good restaurants and very close to Museum Square. Our family of 5 all had excellent beds that were clean and comfortable! Highly recommended!!!!

I loved the coffee machine in the lobby. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was small but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great! It was all granite, super clean, etc. The location was also nice as it was right next to a park and close to lots of attractions, and easy to get around, yet far enough away to be quiet.

Close to everything. Rooms are ok, a bit small. But very good for the price.

This was a great place to stay within walking distance of all of the neighborhoods to see in the city! The great price, cleanliness, and breakfast option were all big positives.

This hotel has a great location near Amsterdam's famous museum area, but be forewarned that the room with two twin beds cannot accommodate two people comfortably because it is so tiny. Also, the toilet is in front of the sink, so it is difficult to use the sink. I understand European hotel rooms tend to be on the small side, but this one qualifies as the smallest we've ever seen. If you are traveling alone or don't mind close quarters, you can probably make it work.

Our flight arrived at 8:30 am. It took us a while to figure where to get a bus or tram pass. It took us quite a while to find the hotel. When we finally found the hotel we had to wait to check in. Check in time was 2:00 pm. So we put our own bags in a storage closet. Literally in a storage closet along with other bags already in the closet. The gentleman at the reception counter was courteous. Provided us with a city map and highlighted popular areas to visit and also X'ed where the hotel was located. When we finally got back to the hotel Our room was ready. We had 5 in our party (this hotel had a room with 5 beds). Our room was in the lower floor -1. While the room was clean there was no air flow through the room. The weather was unusually warm for this time of the year. Two fans were in the room, but no air conditioning.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, near tram stops and the museum district. Free coffee 24/7. No complaints. I would stay there again.

Very helpful, clean, convenient & perfect for a quick trip to Amsterdam!

The staff didn't like being asked any questions about the hotel or the local transport service. Staff are rude and unhelpful without exception. Getting an answer is like trying to pull teeth. They don't like being asked any questions and don't say more than they have to. On one occasion, we asked how to get to Haarlem from the hotel. The extremely blunt reply was get the bus into town and get the train. They don't seem to have any concept of customer service.

Clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was near where I was going. Will stay again!

The hotel was in a great location (though not immediately obvious), and the 4 single beds for a family of 4 was nice. The beds, however, were severely lacking and were nothing more then a few inch tick piece of foam. They even left my 11 year old complaining of aches and pains. The room had no central air (heating or cooling), which meant no white noise to drown out the noise resulting from either the very thin walls or the ongoing renovation. This made it extremely difficult to sleep. In addition, there were no do not disturb signs and the cleaning staff knocked no less then 4 times one morning as we were slow getting moving. This again made catching up on sleep with two tweens extremely difficult! I would not recommend this hotel to others unless they were traveling on a very tight budget. (This is the type of place I would have stayed at as a college student, but I was expecting more.)

The only thing going for this hotel is the location and cleanliness. The location is prime! Vondelpark is right to the left of the main entrance (if walking out of the hotel). The trams 2 & 5 are to the left and take you to the city center, Leidseplein, etc. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. However, I don't think it was worth it. There are other hotels with equally prime locations and cleanliness that I suggest you all book first. There are no microwaves, refrigerators, irons or ironing boards, etc. The breakfast was mediocre. They advertise a hotel shuttle, but I called from the airport and learned they don't pick up from the airport, they only arrange a taxi to take people from the hotel to the airport, which is not my idea of a shuttle. From the very beginning, the staff was rude. Let me explain. There was no printer and only one computer for all guests to use. Since there was no printer, the hotel's policy was to print items for guests from behind the reception desk. I asked them to print my vouchers for my tours and they complained about the number of tours and the number of pages. I asked if there was a page limit that I exceeded and they replied in the negative, but still complained as though it was a burden. (Not to mention the Internet connection was horrible throughout the hotel, including when using the one public computer.) You do not have to believe my review or give it much weight. You may have a different experience, but is it worth the risk? I say no. Just find another hotel that is equally situated and be secure in knowing you will not face my situation during a time that is supposed to be relaxing for you.

Stayed here on 2 of my 5 trips to Amsterdam. Great location in upscale district of Amsterdam. Not far from trams and eating area in walking distance. Rooms are clean and view of park is nice. I have stayed in many hotels in Amsterdam and this is the best bang for your buck!!

The rooms are tiny, the beds smaller than twin. But it is quiet yet right in the middle of things and the price is right. The breakfast was OK for 10 Euros, but good they had it as nothing opened till 8 or 9 and the hotel breakfast started at 7. Right off the tram / streetcar line 3 or 5.
