I was lucky enough to stay here for one night and I absolutely loved it. Of course, I absolutely love Amsterdam so that helped my general positive outlook on the whole experience. I booked a Junior Suite and was upgraded to a Prestige One Bedroom suite, even better my room was ready well before check in time...When I walked into the room I was blown away! The view of the Amstel River was fantastic, the room was spotless...Yes, the furniture was slightly dated, and I had issues with the music system (could have been my phone's issue but someone was up in the room in no time to have a look) but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the room at all. The bathroom was all marble, heated floors, included plush slippers and a bathrobe. The bed was comfortable with crisp sheets. The furniture and décor were all classic-vintage-old world style, the room had a great 'vibe'. The lobby and entrance was discreet and unassuming which I really liked. They had set up an Easter display with baby chicks which I thought was really original and cute! Check-in was fast and pleasant, as was check out. I had dinner at Hoofdstad Brasserie which was very good, I even had two desserts! The location is ideal, close to all the major sites and shopping areas in Amsterdam and you really can't beat the view of the hotel from the other side of the river at night... I was staying alone on this visit after a Rhine river cruise (on company business), but I think De L'Europe would be a perfect hotel for Honeymooners, couples celebrating or a group of friends looking to stay at an elegant and decadent hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. I hope to stay at De L'Europe again!

Beautiful hotel with top notch service. We loved entire atmosphere of the hotel. The location is also very convenient. The breakfast option is well worth considering (as opposed to paying a la carte).

i stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed this hotel . staff are excellent ...........great friendly service without any stuffiness . breakfast was fine and room was great ......probably the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in . location is excellent for exploring and close to the trams etc . this is my new home when visiting Amsterdam

We stayed here two nights and walked most of the centre of Amsterdam. It is a great location and the service was impeccable. The have two restaurants, Bord'Eau and the Terras. We dined at each and found them to be excellent. One complaint would be the reservation system for both. They "pretend" to be full and force you to their schedule but when we dined there neither was full, and Bord'Eau particularly was less than half full.

this is my second stay here. it is a lovely older hotel. The staff in the hotel is bright, warm, friendly and very helpful. Our exact same room that I had 4 years ago. The weather was beautiful so we had lunch on the terrace. it was very crowded. Service there was very slow but we enjoyed our view overlooking the canal. it was a great place to relax and watch all the boats go by. Location is fantastic. I highly recommend this property.

The hotel is perfectly located to walk around and enjoy the city, with impressive suite and nice small balconies overlooking the river. The people were very friendly and useful, the concierge was impressive in arranging everything that we needed at short notice (beautiful Indonesian restaurant, Thai food, boat tour, etc)

This hotel is one of the finest we've every experienced. The staff is extremely attentive, prompt and courteous and they don't seem to every use the words "no" or "not possible." The hotel is perfectly located and the room we had was spacious and very comfortable.

We were here with a group of about 80 lawyers and spouses. The service was impeccable. We had a junior suite in the newer section of the hotel, which was really just a very large room. Very nicely appointed. The staff was terrific. Great location. Really top notch.

One of the best hotel experiences in Europe. The hotel, staff and rooms were outstanding. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are large, bathrooms very modern, and all very clean. The concierge staff was one of the best we have seen anywhere. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for three nights before flying to Stockholm to join a cruise, and the hotel and service could not have been better. Location is excellent, right on one of the canals, and sitting at the restaurant and watching the boats go by was a real pleasure. Service was excellent - the concierge got dinner reservations, arranged a car to see the tulips at Keukenhof Gardens and was otherwise helpful. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was large. We recommend this hotel!
