Definitely the best stay we have ever had anywhere. We had a room facing the canal with a balcony on the third floor. The bed and linen were amazingly comfortable. The bathroom very impressive with floor heating, double vanity and huge bath. Tap wear luxurious. Huge rainwater shower. Had 9 towels all the time! Second room with coffee and dining table, huge closet, safe and old master paintings on the walls. Wifi excellent. Air Con worked brilliantly. Use pool, spa, wet and dry saunas and steam room all complimentary (heavenly). All staff friendly, pleasant and helpful ALWAYS. The balcony was the best experience. Could sit out and watch boats go by, people enjoying life and the views to die for. Five star plus, plus. Thank you for making our week extra magic.
This is the finest 5 star hotel in Amsterdam in my opinion. First of all you can not ask for a better location. You are smack dab in the middle of the city center. The staff from the front door up to the management and everyone in between are top notch. This is a high quality property and worth every penny. The best rooms are with Balconies over looking the canals. I highly recommend if you stay at this hotel to try your best to get a room with a balcony. It makes a world of difference.
Amazing canal view, rooms extremely comfortable and spacious, great location and service of the kind and friendly staff are certainly things to remember. Remember to use the Spa facilities which is a great deal!
Most definitely a five star experience. The staff are most accommodating when it comes to ensuring you have the room you desire. The concierge staff are excellent, they ensured that our holiday was a massive success, getting us tickets to museums and the best seats in restaurants. They also organised fantastic transport in a pedi cab and ensured that we arrived on time to every activity. It most definitely added to our already wonderful impression of the hotel. The room we received was luxury and gorgeous. Good Wi-Fi. The brassiere at the hotel is located right on the canal, which gives a lovely lunch or dinner experience. would highly recommend their bed and breakfast deal. Gorgeous building with equally gorgeous art hung in the hotel lobby and rooms. Thank you so much! -Keela and Miriam Quinn from Ireland
We stayed here for two nights at the end of our Rhine cruise and it was a highlight! The rooms were exquisite - with a copy of a painting by one of the Dutch masters in each room. The concierge, Roy (I think) was especially helpful and even got us tickets to the Rijksmuseum so they were there when we arrived. He was also helpful in recommending restaurants and sites to see. We upgraded to a junior suite with views of the canal and it was a wonderful retreat at the end of the day. Breakfast buffet was good and we enjoyed dinner in the terrace restaurant right by the canal.
We spent 3 nights in this delightful hotel. For us, it combined the best of "Old Europe" with modern conveniencies; ie: a stunning water view, and a state of the art bathroom. The staff was professional, yet friendly, and always achieved results.
Hotel De L'Europe has established a unique identity, together offer a compelling-adventurous array of contemporary arts and classical collections. I had a pleasant stay at the Penthouse. The classic design and the modern design were mixed together and the result was the European modern classic interior design. The furniture was not very modern but still comfy. It was simple and has less carving on it. The amenities were fantastic and so the bed was very comfortable. Throughout the penthouse, carpeted flooring and a big painting on the wall help warm up the interior and white painted-woods emphasize the clean lines of furnishings. A warm, earthier color set the tone on the walls of the living room area, serving as an upbeat yet interesting background for furnishings in accent colors inspired by the outdoors. A Rooftop-large balcony with breathtaking the canal views illustrated a historic view of Amsterdam. Sunsetting from this balcony was so relaxing, this is what it is like imagining of living 'A classical way in urban society'. My dinning experience at Bord'Eau was perfect and spotless. I highly recommend a business lunch at a romantic dinner at Hofdstaad Brasserie, an all-day dining experience offers a wide selection of chef's specialities. I would suggest to experience an authentic afternoon tea at Hèt Terrace and to chill out at Freddy's Bar with friends or family. I truly enjoyed everything that the city has to offer benefiting from the hotel's perfect location, touristic attractions like Rijksmuseum and Heineken Experience are on walking distance. I suggest to go for biking in the city and discovering hidden places, Most of biking tours are located close to to Madame Tussauds Amsterdam located in the centre of the city on Dam Square, near the Royal Palace of Amsterdam. This was very interesting activity. The staffs at this hotel were very helpful, polite and kind. The only missing was 'flashing the smile'! Overall, I had a wonderful stay! Many Thanks..
This hotel has everything! Great Spa, Great Food, Great Service. So very comfortable which was great after 3 days in Warzburg!! We walked in and although our room was not ready, we had a drink at the bar and were taken on a tour of the hotel. Tom was our go to guy! He is phenomenal and can help with anything! The room was beautiful and comfortable! We never waited for anything. Loretta gives a fantastic facial in the spa!! The staff at this hotel makes everything easy. I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars.
This hotel was in City Center of Amsterdam. Great to explore the city. It was attractive, and seemed like they wanted it to be a luxury hotel, but fell short. I think in its hey day it was, but over the years went down. As one reviewer said, "The fizz left the bottle." We were a group of 13 that stayed here for 5 days. We dropped some serious cash and were not treated that well and there were mistakes with our reservations and rooms. Additionally, the service was not up to par for a luxury resort. Slow check in, service spotty. It took 90 minutes to check us in. The bar and restaurant were terrible service as well. No one seemed to really love their job nor the visitors. If you want to stay in a luxury hotel, I suggest looking for something else.
Nested in the angle of a canal in the heart of the old town, the Hotel de L'Europe is pure class. You really feel that this hotel is special - not part of a chain or franchise - privately owned by the Heineken family and indeed originally used as the special venue to accommodate the founder's guests. The service is exceptionally charming, the concierges really knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile, the food is superb and the waterside venue stunning, the rooms are individual and stylish. After years in different places in the city, I have now unquestionably found my home-from-home in Amsterdam - I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
